L'invention concerne un procédé (200) de sécurisation en cours de roulage d'un véhicule électrique proposé à la location, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : - mesure (206) d'au moins une valeur d'au moins un paramètre relatif audit véhicule, - comparaison (208) de la valeur dudit paramètre à au moins une valeur prédéterminée, et - signalisation (220) d'une anomalie, en fonction du résultat de l'étape de comparaison ; dans lequel l'étape de signalisation est initiée par un site, dit central, distant du véhicule, dit central. Elle concerne également un système mettant en oeuvre un tel procédé et une installation de location automatisée de véhicules mettant en oeuvre un tel procédé ou un tel système.
