La ligne d'échappement est destinée à évacuer vers un environnement extérieur des gaz d'échappement produits par le moteur thermique 2. Le catalyseur est prévu pour éliminer des polluants contenus à l'intérieur des gaz d'échappement, tels que des oxydes d'azote, des hydrocarbures imbrûlés, des particules ou analogue. Le catalyseur est indifféremment un catalyseur d'oxydation ou de réduction d'impuretés transportées par les gaz d'échappement. Le carter-catalyseur 7 comporte un conduit amont 8 destiné à être mis en relation aéraulique avec le moteur thermique 2 et un conduit aval 9 prévu pour être mis en relation aéraulique avec un conduit d'échappement débouchant vers l'environnement extérieur. Ainsi, selon un sens d'écoulement des gaz d'échappement à l'intérieur de la ligne d'échappement, les gaz d'échappement circulent successivement depuis le moteur thermique 2 vers le conduit amont 8, puis traversent le catalyseur logé à l'intérieur du carter-catalyseur 7, puis circulent vers le conduit aval 9, puis sont évacués vers l'environnement extérieur, c'est-à-dire à l'air libre, par l'intermédiaire du conduit d'échappement. Le plan de platine P2 est préférentiellement orthogonal au plan de palier P1 selon lequel le palier-relais 6 est ménagé. Le plan de platine P2 est également préférentiellement ménagé orthogonalement à l'axe de révolution A2 du carter-catalyseur 7. [0023] La platine 10 comprend une face de fixation F qui est plane et une face fonctionnelle F' qui reçoit le palier-relais 6 et le carter-catalyseur 7. Les trous de vissage principaux 13 sont indispensables au maintien de l'organe-support 5 sur le carter-cylindres 12 tandis que les trous de vissage accessoires 13' sont optionnels. Ceci permet de limiter le coût et le poids des moyens de fixation de l'organe-support 5 sur le carter-cylindres 12. Les trous de vissage principaux 13 et les trous de vissage accessoires 13' sont ménagés dans un même plan de joint P4. Le plan de joint P4 est parallèle au plan de platine P2 en position de fixation de l'organe-support 5 sur le carter-cylindres 12. [0027] Ces dispositions sont telles que le palier-relais 6 et le carter-catalyseur 7 sont rapportés en une même opération de montage sur le carter-cylindres 12. Ces dispositions diminuent également un encombrement général créé par le palier-relais 6, le carter-catalyseur 7 et le carter-cylindres 12.
