Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a natural preparation in liquid form for the nutrition and / or protection of plants, and its use for foliar application treatment. To protect plants against various diseases and pests and / or ensure good growth they should be regularly treated with suitable products. These treatments are carried out either at root level by root absorption or at leaf level by foliar absorption. It is generally this second way that is adopted. It consists in spraying directly on the leaves using sprayers, products for the protection and / or nutrition of plants. The products for the protection and / or nutrition of plants currently used by the foliar route are mainly derived from synthetic chemistry. These products, although effective, however, have a negative effect on the environment and are unsatisfactory in the context of a reasoned use of this type of products. There are also some preparations of natural origin, except preparations based on algae or essential oils, generally obtained from natural extracts of plants, such as seeds of legumes, polygonaceae, ruscaceae, grasses or verbenaceous. These preparations have many drawbacks in particular in terms of efficiency, stability over time and cost. In addition, these products, which are in solid form to be diluted, have significant technical constraints of use.
They have in particular a bad behavior in the tank of the sprayer because of a bad dispersibility which causes clogging of the pipes or nozzles, and they mix badly with other preparations. This is why the present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by providing a composition of natural origin that is non-toxic to man and the environment, stable, effective and easy to use for the treatment of plants. by foliar application. For this purpose the invention provides a liquid composition for the protection and / or nutrition of plants, comprising at least: - an active ingredient extracted from at least one plant, - at least one dispersing agent and / or emulsifier, said agents being fatty substances or fatty substance derivatives, - at least one surfactant, said agent being a sugar or a derivative of a sugar, - at least one preserving agent, and - water. The invention also relates to the use of this composition and a method of treating plants by foliar spraying. Advantageously, this composition combines the effectiveness of the active ingredient for treating plants, a good toxicological profile vis-à-vis humans and ecotoxicological vis-à-vis the environment, a very good stability over time and a ease of use for foliar application. It is a liquid formulation, preferably in the form of a concentrated suspension, which is stable with a level of suspensibility and dispersibility compatible with agricultural practices. Other features and advantages will become apparent from the following detailed description of the invention.
Very preferably, the active ingredient is delipidated, in solid form. For the purposes of the invention, the term "active ingredient" is intended to mean any molecule or mixture of molecules which has an effect on the growth or protection of plants, in particular an effect of reducing the susceptibility of the plants to the pestering agents ( parasites, fungal, viral or bacterial diseases).
According to a particularly suitable embodiment, the composition comprises between 10 and 40% by weight of active ingredient. The composition also comprises at least one dispersing agent and / or an emulsifying agent.
By dispersant in the sense of the invention is meant a surfactant promoting the dispersion and suspension of solid particles in the undiluted preparation and in the spray mixture. Also emulsifier agent means a surfactant promoting the dispersion of fatty substances and the stability of the preparation.
The dispersing agent and the emulsifying agent are fatty substances or fat derivatives. Preferably, the dispersing agent is chosen from anionic polymers. For example, it may be polynaphthalene sulfonate. Preferably, the dispersing agent is a naphthalene sulphonic acid.
Preferably, the emulsifying agent is chosen from polyol derivatives. By way of example, it may be glycerol, glycol or sorbitan ester. Preferably, the emulsifying agent is a Sorbitan ester. According to a particularly suitable embodiment, the composition comprises between 3 and 10% by weight of dispersing agent (s) and / or emulsifier (s). The composition also comprises at least one surfactant. By surfactant within the meaning of the invention is meant a surfactant which facilitates the spreading of the spray on the plant. The surfactant is a carbohydrate or a carbohydrate derivative. Preferentially, the surfactant is chosen from nonionic surfactants with a fatty alcohol base for its hydrophobic and glucidic part for its hydrophilic part. For example, it may be sugar or ethoxylated alcohol. Preferably, the surfactant is an alkylpolyglucoside or a sugar ester.
According to a particularly suitable embodiment, the composition comprises between 2 and 6% by weight of surfactant (s). The composition according to the invention also comprises at least one preserving agent, which may be chosen in particular from butylated hydroxytoluene, methylisothiazolinone or methylchloroisothiazolinone, whether or not associated with it. Preferably it is methylchloroisothiazolinone. According to a particularly suitable embodiment, the composition comprises at least 0.1% by weight of preservative agent (s). Finally, the composition also comprises water, preferably in the proportion of 40 to 60% by weight. It may also contain other elements such as fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, growth regulators and / or bactericides. The composition according to the invention is in liquid form. Advantageously, the composition according to the invention has a low impact on the environment. It also has good storage stability with rheological properties that greatly reduce the risk of deposition of solid particles of the active ingredient during storage. In addition, the composition according to the invention has many advantages in comparison with existing products in powder form. The liquid formulation allows the addition of certain co-formulants, promoting good dispersion of the particles in suspension in the tank. The active principle is evenly distributed in the sprayer tank without risk of deposition with potential blockages of piping, filters or nozzles. According to another advantage, the composition according to the invention is deposited homogeneously on the treated plants, which optimizes the absorption by the leaves.
The invention therefore also relates to the use of the composition for the treatment of plants by foliar application, in particular by foliar spraying. In particular, the composition may be used for the treatment of plants, for preventing and / or controlling the effects of fungal, bacterial or viral diseases of perennial or annual crops. The composition makes it possible to stimulate the vegetative system of the cultures with a reduction of the sensitivity of the culture to fungal or bacterial diseases. Preferably, the method of treating plants according to the invention consists in applying by foliar spraying the composition at a concentration of between 1 and 3% v / v. It can be applied with a volume of water varying between 100 and 2000 L / ha. The frequency of application of the composition is preferably between 7 and 21 days. According to one variant, the composition according to the invention may be used in combination with antiparasitic preparations or alternately depending on the parasite pressure.
Advantageously, the use according to the invention makes it possible to reduce the overall volume of synthetic pest control products used per hectare per year and promotes the reduction of the level of residues in and on the agricultural end product.
