Abstract

Ce dispositif est une aide à manœuvre portuaire ainsi qu'une aide à la tenue à quai des navires. Le dispositif concerne un calculateur muni d'un écran d'affichage permettant de calculer et d'afficher la force, ou poussée, due au vent qui s'applique sur les surfaces émergées d'un navire. Le dispositif nécessite une connexion avec un anémomètre pour avoir la vitesse du vent ainsi qu'une connexion avec une girouette pour avoir la direction du vent. La direction du vent est donnée en gisement : angle entre la direction du vent et l'avant du navire. Le dispositif nécessite aussi un système de réglage pour effectuer une adaptation propre à chaque navire afin de fournir un résultat exact. Enfin, l'écran d'affichage permet une lecture rapide des résultats calculés par le calculateur ainsi que les paramètres préprogrammés. Les informations affichées sont les suivantes : «poussée latérale du vent », «poussée frontale du vent », « poussée latérale maximale estimée du vent » et enfin « poussée frontale maximale estimée du vent ».
