Abstract

The invention relates to a device comprising an injection system fed from a set of upstream pipes (3, 5, 9) and capable via a downstream pipe (6) of injecting a gaseous reducing agent into an exhaust line (7) upstream of a catalytic converter (8) for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides, said system additionally comprising a storage device comprising at least two canisters (1; 2) containing a material for storing the reducing agent by adsorption and by absorption, characterized in that one of the canisters (1), known as a two-way canister, is directly connected with the set of upstream pipes (3, 5, 9) while the other canisters (2), known as one-way canisters, are connected to this set of upstream pipes (3, 5, 9) by nonreturn check valves (10) which prevent these other canisters from being refilled with gas.
