Abstract

Removing carbon dioxide from flue gases having carbon dioxide with a partial pressure of below 200 mbar, comprises a absorption step of contacting flue gases with an absorbent solution comprising water and at least one diamine including 1,2-bis(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)ethane, 1,2-bis(2-diethylaminoethoxy)ethane and 1,2-bis(2-pyrolidinoethoxy) ethane. An independent claim is included for the absorbent solution for removing carbon dioxide form flue gases.
