Abstract

The device has an element provided or integrated into a material resisting heat, and non toxic material for a user. The element comprises a geometric form that raises from the bottom of a barbecue (1) to create combustion volume (3) for combustion of coal (5) by passage of flames (4) through a cavity of grid creating material (2), where coal is not allowed to choke fuel.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for activating barbecue embers without difficulty and safely by anyone with a guaranteed result for each use and in a shorter time. The lighting of barbecue is traditionally carried out with the aid of light fires, which come to be generally smothered by the placement of the coal on it or by generating large flames which are likely to hurt the users or to create fire damage to nearby. The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. It is placed at the bottom of the barbecue, either reported or integrated barbecue after ignition of the fuel and before the disposal of coal. It creates a combustion chamber located in the middle of the coal containing enough air to allow the combustion to be generated and let the medium-sized flames pass through the coal. The coal in contact with the flames becomes incandescent and spreads to the rest of the coal, thus creating a perfectly successful ember with each use.

According to particular embodiments: - The device can be composed of any fire-resistant materials as well as high temperatures without deformation or be toxic to the user, if necessary stainless steel. Its geometric shape makes it raised from the bottom of the barbecue in order to leave a volume of air necessary for combustion. - The material used can be formed by folding, stamping or cold formed by roller, or even by the use of expanded metal or resistant mesh. The material of the device is hollowed out as much as possible to allow the flames to pass as far as possible through the coal while preventing the coal from entering the combustion volume in order to quench the combustion. - The device can be left inside embers during cooking, eliminating the risk of burns by handling it in active embers. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Fig. 1 shows a section on the device showing the combustion chamber and the passage of flames through the coal. Figure 2 shows a top view to highlight the recessed material to allow the passage of flames. With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a space between the bottom of the barbecue [1] and the material of the device [2] to create a combustion volume [3], thereby passing the flames [4] through coal [5]. The fuel [6] is placed in the middle of the combustion volume [3]. The material of the device [2] is hollowed out by a multitude of orifices [7] thus creating a mesh for the passage of the flames. As a non-limiting example in terms of dimensions or geometry, the device will have 40 dimensions of 189mm by 107mm with a height of 27mm.

CLAIMS1) Device for activating barbecue embers by the use of fuel [6] characterized in that it is an insert or built-in barbeque material heat resistant and non-toxic material for the user. Its geometric shape which raises it from the bottom of the barbecue [1] creates a combustion volume [3] allowing the incandescence of the coal [5] by the passage of the flames [4] through it, by recess [7] material [2] creating a mesh and not allowing the coal to come smother the fuel. 2) Use of the device according to claim 1 characterized in that the device by its nature of heat-resistant steel in addition to being non-toxic material for the user does not require to remove it during cooking food thus eliminating any risk of burns by hot handling.
