Abstract

The cooler (5) has storage units (17) i.e. storage limps, for storing condensates provided in a bottom part of the cooler to collect the condensates by gravity. Heating units (19) are arranged in the storage units to heat the condensates collected directly in the storage units. The heating units consist of a heating electric resistor. Detection units (18) detect quantity of condensates present in the storage units, where the detection units are provided with a level sensor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for managing condensates of a charge air cooler of a thermal engine, comprising an estimator (2) a method for managing condensates of a charge air cooler of a thermal engine.
