L'invention vise plus particulièrement les aliments pour animaux domestiques de type secs, c'est-à-dire dont le taux d'humidité est inférieur ou égal à 14%. De tels aliments secs, qui sont supposés couvrir tous les besoins nutritionnels de l'animal, présentent cependant certains inconvénients. En effet, il a été constaté que, quand bien même leur composition confère un certain équilibre alimentaire aux animaux domestiques, ces derniers ne sont pas suffisamment attirés par ces aliments, en termes gustatifs, de sorte qu'ils ne les consomment pas avec plaisir. L'invention se propose de remédier à cet inconvénient. A cet effet, elle a pour objet une composition pour alimentation animale, destinée à napper des aliments secs pour animaux domestiques, cette composition étant formée d'une émulsion comprenant un mélange primaire et un agent épaississant. De façon avantageuse, le mélange primaire comprend de l'eau et une huile alimentaire, cette composition comprenant en outre un agent émulsifiant. Une telle gamme de viscosités confère à la composition de l'invention un écoulement relativement lent. Ainsi, cette dernière, tout en étant liquide, se présente sous une forme épaisse. L'épaississant peut être de type xanthane, ou être composé d'un mélange de gomme d'acacia et de xanthane. Un tel épaississant est par exemple commercialisé par la société CNI sous la référence THIXOGUM. L'épaississant peut aussi être du CARRAGHENANE. L'émulsifiant est par exemple de type lécithine, ou monoglycéride. Il s'agit, notamment, du produit commercialisé par la société STERN sous la référence STERNVITAL, ou bien encore du produit commercialisé par la société LUCAS MEYER SA sous la référence EMULTOP. Cet émulsifiant peut également être du trisodium orthophosphaté. Selon une autre caractéristique avantageuse de l'invention, la composition pour alimentation animale comporte un agent conservateur, présent entre 0,05 et 1% en poids, de préférence entre 0,1 et 0,5%. Cet agent conservateur est par exemple de type sorbate de potassium. De façon avantageuse, la compositon alimentaire peut comprendre en outre du sel, présent entre 0,1 et 2% en poids, de préférence entre 0,3 et 1,5%, ainsi que du saccharose, présent entre 0,1 et 2% en poids, de préférence entre 0,3 et 1,5%. Par ailleurs, la composition pour alimentation animale de l'invention comprend, avantageusement, un agent aromatique, présent entre 0,05 et 1,5% en poids, de préférence entre 0,2 et 1%. Il s'agit, par exemple, d'un des produits commercialisés par la société FIS, permettant d'apporter à la composition des arômes, respectivement de boeuf saignant, de boeuf rôti, de thon, de poisson, ou encore de crustacés. A titre de variante, l'agent aromatique peut comprendre des phéromones, ou encore des huiles essentielles. Selon une autre caractéristique avantageuse de l'inven- tion, la composition comprend en outre un exhausteur de goût, présent dans des proportions comprises entre 0,1 et 3%, de préférence entre 0,3 et 2% en poids. Par ailleurs, l'emploi de cette huile alimentaire permet d'apporter aux animaux des acides gras insaturés, tels que l'acide oléique et l'acide linoléique. REVENDICATIONS1. An animal feed composition for coating dry pet food, said composition being an emulsion comprising a primary mixture and a thickening agent.

2. Composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the primary mixture comprises water and a food oil, this composition further comprising an emulsifying agent.

Composition according to claim 2, characterized in that it comprises the following proportions, expressed by weight: - between 50 and 85% water, preferably between 70 and 80%; between 10 and 40% of edible oil, preferably between 20 and 30%; between 0.1 and 5% of thickening agent, preferably between 0.2 and 3%; and between 0.1 and 5% of emulsifying agent, preferably between 0.2 and 3%.

4. Composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the primary mixture is a milk-based product.

5. Composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises essential oil extracted from nepeta cataria, present between 0.01 and 5% by weight, preferably between 0.1 and 3%.
