Abstract

The putter (8bis) has a round protuberance (3bis) fixed under a soleplate. The round protuberance is removed from a sliding system (9) with a defined inclination. The round protuberance is adjusted at an angle (c) with respect to a ground (6). A bottom part (4) of the round protuberance is located at a minimal distance (g) i.e. 9 mm, with respect to an impact zone (2) of a face of the putter. A ball (7) rests on the ground, and the protuberance is fixed by a screw (10), where the protuberance is molded in a head of the putter.

Description

The present invention relates to a device located under the sole of the putter helping to pre-position the best impact zone of the face of the putter closer to that located on the equator of the ball, allowing it to have a good roll in top spin and keep the line to go into the hole.

With the putter without the device, the two zones of impact on the equator of the ball and the face of the putter have a distance and greater surface favoring negative effects on the ball, which result in jumps and bad directions of the -this. The device according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage, it consists in adapting under the sole of the putter a protuberance of rounded shape molded into the mass of the putter head or removable adjustable well defined fixed by screw; this device allows to put closer to the two impact zones: - that of the face of the putter delimited in the middle of the head by a line in the longitudinal direction and in the vertical plane by a point in the center of the face (sweet spot); - and that located on the equator of the ball.

The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 shows the putter and the ball without modification. Figure 2 shows the putter with its protuberance in the mass of the head under the sole and the ball. Figure 3 shows the putter with its removable protrusion under the sole, in section, with a sliding system fixed by screw after adjustment.

With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a bullet (7) with an impact zone (1) at the equator thereof having a radius (a) = 21.33 mm for (0 42.67 ) of the ball (7) homologated by the R & A Rules to the practice of golf which determines the maximum distance (e) = 18 mm at point (4) of the protuberance (3) under the sole (5) of the head putter (8). This distance (e) of FIG. 2 is decisive in that it places the space of the distance (f) min = 3.3 mm with respect to the ground (6) with a margin of safety so as not to touch that during the pendulum movement of the putter (backswing and dowsing). The putter (8a) comprises a detachable protrusion (3a) adjustable in a sliding system (9) with a well-defined inclination locating the bottom (4) of the protuberance (3a) 15mm wide at a maximum. minimum distance (g) = 9 mm from the impact zone (2) of the face of the putter. The so-called inclination is an angle (c) with respect to the ground (6). The putter (8a) with its protuberance (3a) and its sliding system (9) can be made in the same material or in two different materials. Consequently, the impact zone (2) of the face of the putter (8) or (8a) actuated by the coordinated movement of the putter assembly and the player's body makes it easier to contact the two equatorial strike zones (1) of the bullet (7) and that of the face (2) of the putter's head, located near the center in the vertical plane (sweet spot) distance (b) divided by about two. This results in a top spin effect that keeps the line with a good ball rolling (7) to finish in the hole. On the other hand, the distance (d) 10.3 mm from FIG. 1 is greater and makes it more difficult to present the two impact zones (1) and (2) well during the pendulum movement, body and putter which causes a lot more errors for a good touch at the moment of striking the ball (7) favoring the jumping of it by not keeping a good line of putt.
