Abstract
Un élément de masse coulé à froid possède des particules métalliques solides supérieures à 75 % en volume et un liant inférieur à 25 % en volume, avec une surface extérieure. Le liant est exposé sur la surface extérieure et enrobe les particules métalliques solides dans l'élément de masse coulé à froid. Cette surface extérieure a une dureté supérieure à 70 Shore A au duromètre, de préférence une dureté supérieure à environ 75 Shore A ou à environ 100 Shore D. L' élément de masse a un liant qui est une résine époxy ou résine phénol-formaldéhyde thermodurcissable. Les particules métalliques peuvent être du fer broyé de préférence 85 % à 96 % en volume avec un liant de 4 % à 12 % en volume. L'élément de masse possède de préférence des particules métalliques solides supérieures à 85 % en poids ; et un liant inférieur à 15 % en poids.
