Description

The invention relates to a marking paint and will find a particular application, but not limited to, as a road paint for signaling on the ground or for the manufacture of marking objects, such as molded products, paved for example.

The invention will also relate to an anti-slip marking, in particular a floor covering, as well as to a method of manufacturing such a marking. The signaling on the ground, such as continuous or discontinuous white lines, folding arrows, zebra crossings, can be, for reasons of obvious safety, consists of a retroreflective and non-slip coating. For this purpose, there is known a coating consisting of resin including sand particles and glass beads, to form the asperities of the non-slip surface, and also to reflect the light of the car headlights in particular or other sources of light. Such a type of marking, however, requires being subjected to light radiation to be visible at night. However, photoluminescent marking paints which contain phosphorescent pigments are known. With such paints, road signs are visible at night, even without lighting. Document EP-1.460.180 thus discloses a photoluminescent marking paint applied according to a film on the road surface, consisting of a transparent resin mixed with phosphorescent pigments. Optionally, the paint further contains transparent aggregates such as silica, glass particles or quartz crystals. In practice, the transparent resin / phosphorescent pigment mixture is applied in a uniform layer on the road surface to be covered. Optionally, in order to increase the anti-slip properties of the marking, the transparent aggregates are then spread over the previous photoluminescent layer, penetrating them, thus ensuring their adhesion to the layer not yet hardened. The object of the present invention is to propose an alternative to such a photoluminescent marking paint. Another object of the present invention is to provide such a paint, particularly resistant to wear, especially rolling. Another object of the invention is to provide such a paint, saving phosphorescent pigments. Another object of the present invention is to provide a marking paint which will find a particular application for the realization of the signaling on white ground, as it is generally encountered on the road network. Another object of the present invention is to provide a non-slip marking, particularly visible at night. Another object of the invention is to provide a method for the manufacture of such a marking. Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description which is given for information only and which is not intended to limit it. The invention relates first of all to a marking paint constituted at least from aggregates, previously coated with phosphorescent pigments and a first binder. The invention also relates to a non-slip marking obtained by applying the paint according to the invention to a surface, particularly a road surface, characterized in that it has at its surface asperities formed at least from coated aggregates. all or part of phosphorescent pigments. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a marking based at least on aggregates and a binder on a support in which: - the aggregates are first coated with phosphorescent pigments, - a layer of binder on the support, - the binder layer is dusted with the pigmented aggregates. The invention will be better understood on reading the following description accompanied by the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a view of a marking produced by means of a marking paint according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a detail view illustrating an aggregate coated with pigments, FIG. 3 is a view of a marking according to the invention according to a second embodiment of which the binder layer has been sprinkled with rejection of aggregates. pigmented. The invention relates first of all to a marking paint. According to the invention, it is constituted at least from aggregates 1 and a first binder 3. Said aggregates 1 are previously coated with phosphorescent pigments 3. The aggregates have a particle size which may be between 0.1 mm and 8 mm. The phosphorescent pigments have a particle size that can be between 15 m and 25 m. The phosphorescent pigments may be attached to the periphery of the aggregates by means of a second binder 5, which may or may not be identical to the first binder 3 of the paint. Optionally, the coated aggregates can be further protected by a resin film 9, identical or not to the resin of the first binder 3 or the second binder 5. The first binder 3, or the second binder 5, can be a resin selected from one of the following groups: polyurethane, epoxy, methacrylate. The aggregates may be silicon dioxide (SiO 2) and more particularly, according to one embodiment, cristobalite. Cristobalite is characterized by its exceptional whiteness, which will be particularly suitable for the production of white signage and will also make it possible to produce high performance non-slip surfaces. The phosphorescent pigments 2 may be, for example, strontium sulfide. This painting will find a particular application for road signs. The paint will also find particular application for the manufacture of marking objects, such as in particular molded products, concrete blocks or others, which have in particular at least on one of their faces, a marking made from the paint according to the invention.

The invention also relates to a non-slip marking 7, obtained by applying the marking paint according to the invention to a surface, in particular a road surface which has on its surface asperities 8 consisting of aggregates coated with 1 phosphorescent pigments. This marking 7 is produced using the marking paint according to the invention. In particular, the aggregates 1 previously coated with phosphorescent pigments are subjected to a support 6 by means of a layer of binder 3. Advantageously, according to a particularly economical embodiment, only the coated aggregates contain phosphorescent pigments, the binder 3 to attach to the support 6 being deprived.

The aggregates 1 of the marking may have a particle size of between 0.1 mm and 8 mm, the particle size of the phosphorescent aggregates 2 in particular between 15 and 15 m. The aggregates may be silicon dioxide, especially cristobalite. The marking may comprise two binders, namely the binder of the layer, said first binder 3 for fixing the aggregates to the support 6 and a second binder 5 for fixing the phosphorescent pigments 2 at the periphery of the aggregates 1. The first binder 3 or the second binder 5 may be identical or different, each consisting of a resin selected from one of the following groups: polyurethane, epoxy, methacrylate. The phosphorescent pigments may be strontium sulfide. According to the anti-slip marking, according to the invention, the aggregates protrude from the layer of the binder to form a non-slip surface and a photoluminescent surface. In order to ensure a better resistance of the aggregates in time, as well as, for example, to facilitate the cleaning of the signaling, the aggregates subject to the layer may be covered by a film of resin 9. Of course, the thickness of this film is much smaller than the granulometry of the aggregates allowing to maintain the anti-slip properties of the marking. The invention will also relate to a method of manufacturing a non-slip marking according to the invention, based at least on aggregates 1 and a binder 3 on a support 6 in which at least: - is previously coated, all or part, aggregates 1 with phosphorescent pigments 2, - a binder layer 3 is deposited on the support 6, - the binder layer (3) is dusted with the pigmented aggregates (2). As illustrated in FIG. 3, it may in particular be a sprinkling with rejection of the binder layer 3. By this method, an anti-slip marking 7 is obtained, the aggregates protruding from the binder layer 3 for constituting the asperities of a non-slip surface and a photoluminescent surface. Aggregates 1, phosphorescent pigments 2 and binders 3; 5 may be those previously described. According to the invention, in a first step, all or part of the aggregates are coated with a binder such as a polyurethane resin or an expoxy or methacrylate resin. During this step, said aggregates are wetted with the resin which will fix the phosphorescent pigments at the periphery of the aggregates as illustrated in FIG. 2. The resin may, for the sake of miscibility, be of the same type as said binder 3 on which the aggregates thus coated will be dusted.

The process may have an additional step in which the pigmented aggregates thus used are covered with a resin film 9, before the aggregates thus protected are sprinkled onto the binder 3 in the not yet cured state. Naturally, other embodiments could have been envisaged by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
