The present invention relates to a motor assembly comprising a crankshaft and a crank shaft. FR 2,279,982 A1 discloses an engine assembly which comprises a crankshaft and two crankshaft balancing shafts, which are rotatably connected to the crankshaft via a chain. The crankshaft has a pinion which engrains the aforementioned chain. The assembly of an engine assembly as mentioned above is tedious because it can be done only when crankshaft is in a determined position. In addition, after-sales, during some repairs, such as, for example, the change of a cylinder head gasket, it is necessary to detach in rotation the crankshaft pinion. The balancer shaft, which cooperates with the free idler in rotation, can then rotate freely about its longitudinal axis. When, after the repair, it is secured to the pinion to the crankshaft, it is necessary to wedge the balancer shaft in a particular position relative to the crankshaft, which is itself arranged in a specific position. Since the balancer shaft is completely covered by the oil sump, the above-mentioned setting operation requires disassembly of the sump. This disassembly is tedious and expensive because it is necessary to redo all the sealing of the oil sump. Also, a problem which arises and which the present invention seeks to solve is to propose an engine assembly which comprises a crankshaft and a crankshaft balancing shaft driven in rotation by the crankshaft via a pinion. mounted on the crankshaft, which is easy to assemble and facilitates some repairs.
In order to solve this problem, the present invention proposes a motor assembly of a motor vehicle comprising: a cylinder block containing a crankshaft which can be rotated in said cylinder block, said crankshaft comprising a pinion linked in rotation to said crankshaft and adapted to be disengaged in rotation from said crankshaft; and - a motor balancer shaft, rotatably connected to said crankshaft via said pinion. Characteristically, according to the invention, the engine block comprises rotational locking means of said balancing shaft with respect to said cylinder block, said rotation locking means for angularly setting said balancing shaft with respect to said crankshaft. when said pinion is disengaged in rotation from said crankshaft, whereby said balancer shaft is locked in rotation relative to said crankshaft. According to the invention, the rotational locking means are not limited. They can allow rotation locking of the balancer shaft at any time or only when the balancer shaft is in a given position which corresponds to a specific position of the crankshaft. According to a particular embodiment, said rotational locking means comprise a wedging zone, disposed on said shaft, and a locking element which cooperates with said wedging zone to angularly wedge said balancing shaft. The locking element may be of the clamp type or other. The wedging zone may, for example, comprise a cavity and said locking element may, for example, have a rod adapted to cooperate by interlocking with said cavity to angularly wedge said balancing shaft. The rotational locking means may comprise a support on which is mounted said locking element. Advantageously, said rotational locking means comprise resilient return means through which said locking element is mounted on said support.
According to one embodiment, said engine assembly comprises an oil sump, attached under said cylinder block so as to cover said balancing shaft, said oil sump having an opening, arranged so as to allow said component to pass through. locking in rotation and its cooperation with said wedging zone. Said opening may comprise a flange adapted to cooperate with said support for fixing said support through said opening. Advantageously, said opening allows the emptying of the oil contained in said oil sump. ~ o Other features and advantages of the invention appear on reading the description given below of a particular embodiment of the invention, given by way of indication but not limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which FIG. 1 represents a partial view, in perspective, of a mode of embodiment of the motor assembly according to the invention; and FIG. 2 represents a sectional view along the axis of the crankshaft, of the wall of the oil sump equipping the motor assembly of FIG. 1. FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of the motor assembly according to FIG. present invention. According to this embodiment, the motor assembly comprises a crankshaft 1 which has a longitudinal axis X. The crankshaft 1 has a bearing 11 on which bears a connecting rod 2, which cooperates with a piston 3. The crankshaft 1 has a end, or nose, which extends along its longitudinal axis X. This nose comprises a pinion 14 which is mounted around the axis X, is held tight against a shoulder by a clamping screw 16, 25 disposed at the end of the nose. The nose supports an accessory wheel 5 which is part of the engine assembly distribution system and which is held tight on the crankshaft by the clamping screw 16. When the clamping screw 16 is loosened, the pinion 14 can freely rotate around the X axis of the crankshaft.
As shown in FIG. 1, the engine assembly also comprises an oil pump 6 disposed under the crankshaft 1. This oil pump 6 comprises a gear wheel 61 arranged in the same plane as the pinion 14 of the crankshaft 1. A balancing shaft 8 is disposed substantially at the same level as the oil pump 6. This balancing shaft 8 extends parallel to the crankshaft 1 and has an unbalance 81 disposed at its first end which is located in the opposite direction to the crankshaft nose 1. The second end of the balance shaft, the one which does not have the unbalance 81, is arranged substantially at the height of the gear wheel 61 of the oil pump 6. The balancing shaft 8 is rotatably connected to the oil pump 6 and the crankshaft 1 by means of an inverter mechanism 82 which has a toothed wheel 84. The inverter mechanism 82 lo cooperates with the balancing shaft 8 via of a cogwheel n represented). A chain 9, mounted on the pinion 14, the toothed wheel 61 and the toothed wheel 84 makes it possible, by virtue of the rotation of the crankshaft 1, to drive the balancing shaft 8 and the oil pump 6 in rotation. Due to the presence of the inverter mechanism 82, the balancer shaft 8 rotates in the opposite direction of the crankshaft 1. It is possible, according to the invention, to suppress this inverter mechanism 82. The chain 9 then drives the shaft directly. counterbalance 8 which rotates in the same direction as the crankshaft 1. The dashed lines in Figure 1 represent the various casings that envelop the various elements of the motor assembly. Thus, the crankshaft 1 20 is disposed in the cylinder block (not shown) and covered by the cylinder block 101. The oil pump 6, the toothed wheel 61 and the balancing shaft 8 and the inverter mechanism 82 are housed in the oil sump 103, which is fixed under the cylinder housing 101. A distribution casing (not shown) covers the oil sump 103 and the cylinder block 101 which are arranged one under the other. Only the clamping screw 16 and the accessory wheel 5 are disposed outside the cylinder block 101 and outside the timing case. As shown in FIG. 1, the motor assembly comprises means for locking in rotation the balance shaft 8. These rotational locking means 7 comprise a substantially cylindrical support 71 on which is mounted a rod 72 which extends along the same axis as the support 71. The balancing shaft 8 has a cavity 87, or flat, (see Figure 2) formed on the longitudinal portion of the balance shaft 8. This cavity 87 s extends transversely to the shaft 8 without being through. The cavity 87 is formed on the balance shaft 8 so that it is arranged in a specific position, in this case in front of the drain opening 104 of the oil sump 103, when the piston 3 is, for example, at the top dead center (which corresponds to a specific position of the crankshaft 1). The rotational locking means 7 will now be described in more detail with reference to FIG. 2. The support 71 is substantially cylindrical and comprises on a portion of its external surface a thread that allows it to be screwed through the opening. emptying 104 of the oil sump 103, in place of the plug which normally closes the latter. For this purpose, the oil sump 103 has at the drain opening 104, a cylindrical flange 105 which extends, for example, in the housing 103. The flange 105 allows the fixing, by screwing, the plug normally closing the drain opening 104. The external thread of the support 71 is adapted to cooperate with a tapping formed on the inner cylindrical wall of the flange 105 to ensure the positioning and fixing of the support 71 through the drain opening 104. As shown in Figure 2, the rod 72 extends along the longitudinal axis of the support 71. When the support 71 cooperates with the flange 105 of the drain opening 104, the rod 72 extends into the housing 103. The rod 72 is housed in a longitudinal cavity 76 which extends along the axis of the support 71. The support 71 has a passage 78 through the cavity 76 and substantially perpendicular to the latter. The cavity 76 has a shoulder 79. The rod 72 is mounted on the support 71 by means of resilient return means which are, in this case, a spiral spring 75. This spiral spring 75 is disposed longitudinally in the cavity 76 One end of this spring 75 is supported on the shoulder 79. The other end of the spring 75 is supported on a stop 73 formed on the rod 72. The rod 72 is thus kept suspended in the cavity 76 by the spring 75 which cooperates with the shoulder 79 and the stop 73. The spiral spring 75 is thus arranged around a portion of the rod 72, so that the rod 72 can move in translation along its length. The first end of the rod is housed in the cavity 76 while its second end protrudes from the cavity 76, out of the support 71. A retaining stop 74, transverse to the rod 72 and integral with the latter is inserted into the passage 78 This retaining abutment 74 abuts against the support 71, at the upper edge of the passage 78 so as to maintain the rod 72 in the cavity 76. The width of the passage 78 (measured along the axis of the support 71) determines the movement of the rod 72 in the cavity 76. Under the action of a force exerted on the second end of the rod 72, the rod 72 can thus partially return into the cavity 76 of the support 71 in which it is housed. The second end of the rod 72 fits into the cavity 87 so as to lock in rotation the balance shaft 8. An example of use of the motor assembly will now be described. To carry out a repair, the clamping screw 16 must be unscrewed. Ls When the clamping screw 16 is unscrewed, the pinion 14 can rotate freely about the axis of the crankshaft 1 and rotate the balancing shaft 8 The balancing shaft 8 is invisible because completely covered by the oil sump 103. The pinion 14 is also invisible and inaccessible because housed in the cylinder block and covered by the cylinder block 101. Before loosening the screw With tightening 16, the piston 3 is placed at the top dead center by turning the crankshaft 1 whose nose is accessible. As a result, the crankshaft 1 moves into a given position. In this given position of the crankshaft 1, the balancing shaft 8 which is rotatably connected to the crankshaft 1, is disposed in a position in which the cavity 87, formed on the balancing shaft 8, is located substantially in position. The closing plug 104 is then withdrawn from the drain plug 104 and the rod 72 is inserted through the drain opening 104 of the oil sump 103. To do this, the screw is screwed on. support 71 in the flange 105 of the drain opening 104 so that the rod 72 enters the oil sump 103. The cavity 87 being placed opposite the opening 104, when the crankshaft 1 is in the given position which corresponds to the upper dead point of the piston 3, the rod 72 snaps into the cavity 87. If the cavity 87 is not exactly well disposed, it is possible, by slightly turning the crankshaft 1, to rotate balancing shaft 8 about its axis. As a result, the end of the rod 72 first abuts against the external surface of the balance shaft 8. When the cavity 87 arrives at the level of the rod 72, the elastic return means 75 which continuously exert a restoring force on the rod 72, push the rod 72, along its length, in the cavity 87. The balancing shaft 8 is thus locked in rotation and the clamping screw 16 can be loosened without risk of cause the rotation of the balancer shaft 8. In the embodiment described above, the drain opening 104 ~ o of the oil sump 103 and the cavity 87 are judiciously arranged relative to each other. the other, so that when the crankshaft is locked in rotation in a given position (for example, when the piston 3 is at the top dead center), the cavity 87 is disposed above the drain opening 104. This allows the cooperation of the rod 72 of the rotational locking means with the 1s cavity 87 precedes e. According to another embodiment, the oil sump 103 has an opening distinct from the drain opening and which is specifically dedicated to the passage of a locking element in rotation of the balancing shaft. This opening is then judiciously arranged to allow the insertion of a locking element and the cooperation of this element with the balancing shaft, when the latter is in a given position, which corresponds to a determined position of the crankshaft. Depending on its position, this opening may be equipped with removable sealing means, such as a plug, so that the oil sump remains sealed while allowing access to the balancing shaft 25. through the oil sump. Furthermore, the motor assembly according to the invention can also be easily assembled, because of the presence of the rotational locking means of the balancing shaft. It allows, indeed, to easily block the balancer shaft relative to the crankshaft. This step is necessary when mounting the motor assembly. During assembly of the motor assembly, the fact of locking in rotation the balancing shaft with respect to the cylinder block also makes it possible to wedge angularly the balancing shaft 8 and the crankshaft 1. Indeed, when the step of mounting, it fixes the relative position of the crankshaft 1 and the balancer shaft 8. This determined relative position ensures that when the crankshaft 1 is in a given position (for example, which corresponds to the top dead center) of the piston), the balancing shaft 8 is in a position which will allow, on the fully mounted motor assembly, the rotational locking of the balancing shaft by the rotation locking means of the latter, without dismantling. oil sump 103.
