Abstract
The invention relates to an automatic percussion device using a hammer which moves in the axis of the barrel. The device makes it possible to remedy the problem of deflection and bulk caused by the tilting hammers. The mechanism comprises a cylindrical breech (3) into which is introduced a hammer formed by a first rod (4) whose axis coincides with that the cylinder head and a second rod (5) fixed to the first and passing through a cylinder head slot (6) which is substantially inclined relative to the axis of the cylinder head (3); the mechanism inseparably includes a stopper (9) used to allow the cocking movement of the rod (5) and to prevent movement in the opposite direction unless the breech (3) has returned to the barrel (2) and that its slot (6) has made it possible to pivot the rod (5) along the axis of the rod (4) thus releasing the hammer from the stress imposed by the retainer (9). The device according to the invention is intended, not exclusively, at the assault rifle factory.
