Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a visual tri-color brake lights device to help the driver to anticipate the behavior of other vehicles in front of him, also by an infrared process allowing him to be braked during the sudden stop another vehicle by eliminating the reaction time and thus be able to secure the occupants of the vehicle. When the vehicle is automatically switched off, the hazard warning lights switch on automatically and emit an audible signal and a visual signal on the instrument panel (a powerful LED can be added for the hearing impaired). This safety system disconnects when the user advancing us releases his brake pedal thus allowing to roll again without remaining immobilize. The braking system takes place in three stages by a process of three contacts made in the stroke made by the foot pressure on the brake pedal. Each pressure exerted by the brake lights illuminates part of the three lights on each side: (the colors of the brake lights are decided while waiting for a modification, if there is one). If the vehicle in front of us were to brake slightly the green brake light (1), it would show us a slight braking. (fig.7) If this same vehicle had to slow down moderately the green (1) and orange (2) brake lights would come on thus we would show an average braking (thus a little stronger). (fig.8) Finally, if it were to brake hard, the green (1), orange (2) and red (3) stop lamps would light up, thus triggering the hazard warning lights (6), the infrared transmitter box ( 8) and the radiofrequency transmitter. (fig.9) By braking suddenly, this vehicle would trigger the vehicles that follow one another information to stop them without thinking and repeat the operation to other vehicles traveling in the same direction (the distance between vehicles can be adjusted from 0 at 100 meters by IR). Thus the information of the sudden braking would be sent to other vehicles, and then trigger: [the infrared receiver (13) and the radio frequency receiver (25). The infrared receiver (13) transmits to the relays (19), (20), (21), (22) and (23) the order to simultaneously light the stop lamps (1), (2) and (3), the hazard warning lights (6) provided with an independent flashing station (9), the audible alarm (18) located on the instrument panel (17), the electronic cylinder (5) actuating a lever (24) and a rod contact (4) pulling on the brake pedal (b), the radiofrequency transmitter (26), the relay (27) actuating the infrared transmitter 2926509 -2- (8), an LED (16) placed on the edge (17) and an on-screen display (15)] (details fig.6). When the second vehicle begins to brake automatically by means of its jack (5), it switches on again simultaneously the contactors (la), (2a) and (3a) located in the contact block (A) giving the order to Relay (10), (11), (12) Ignition of stop lamps (1), (2) and (3), Relay (7) and independent control unit (9) Hazard warning lights (6), an LED (16) placed on the dashboard (17) and an on-screen display (15), the triggering of the radio frequency transmitter (26) and the triggering of the relay (27) actuating the infrared transmitter (8) and especially the systematic braking of the succeeding vehicle. This phenomenon occurs on the whole series of vehicles succeeding one another, preventing repeated collisions. The infrared beam can only work if it is at a very limited angle and can not act on vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. The beam can be adjusted by embedding the LEDs deeper into the front and rear bumpers of the vehicles. (fig.11) The transmitter (8) and the receiver (13) infrared can not be confused since the transmitter is at the rear of the vehicle and the receiver is at the front of the vehicle, it is therefore impossible for the beams to cross.
The radiofrequency transmitter (26) warns all users (within a range of 0 to 100 meters) that a vehicle is in distress and is not visible (fog, hill, coast , turn) via the radio frequency receiver (25) in the vehicle. The device according to the invention makes it possible to perceive more quickly the behavior of the 25 other users advancing us even if they are far away or if they brake suddenly, thus being able to anticipate before reaching their level to see braking automatically if danger there is at.
