Abstract
Description
10 PROCÉDÉ DE FILTRATION POUR AIR ET LIQUIDES, PAR PHOTO CATALYSE ET PHOTOLYSE, TRAVERSANT ET LÉCHANT FILTRATION PROCESS FOR AIR AND LIQUIDS, BY CATALYTIC PHOTO AND PHOTOLYSIS, CROSSING AND LAUNCHING
Domaine technique de l'invention. Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a filtration assembly for the treatment of air or liquids by photo-catalysis and photolysis and both through and licking. State of the art
In known apparatuses that perform purification, not all organic elements are managed. Indeed some products treat air or liquids by photolysis, other filtration systems have activated carbon cartridges etc.
Indeed, the ultraviolet (UVA or UVC) systems known on the market operate by the photolysis process (photolysis is any chemical reaction in which a chemical compound is decomposed by light.) The direct process is defined as the interaction of a photon interacting with a target molecule) which has the effect of not destroying all the organic elements present in the medium to be treated. For this reason, filter assemblies of different types such as granular activated carbon or "carbon block" filters are generally added to a UV system in order to eliminate other organic elements and certain chemical chains ( like chlorine, nitrate, etc.) or organic elements that give taste or smell. Large concentrations of organic elements, germs, viruses, bacteria, VOCs, etc. are present in the air that we breathe and in the drinking water, these 30 organic elements are little or no eliminated. It is the same for air or waste water which they generally do not undergo any treatment at the exit of homes or industries. io -2- To combat this phenomenon, the idea is to clean up the air and the liquids coming in and out of homes or businesses. To do this, the idea is to develop a photo-catalytic filter (A catalyst is a substance that increases the speed of a thermodynamically possible chemical reaction by reducing the activation energy.) Photo catalysis results from heterogeneous catalysis, that is, the reaction occurs only on the surface of the catalyst) and photolysis which is both licking and passing through to remove any organic elements present. Object of the invention The present invention aims to destroy all the organic elements present in the air or in liquids.
For this purpose, a device has been devised which could easily be adapted to standard commercial filters or to the production of a photo-catalytic filter which, using a medium comprising an active carbon face and a braided face on which a catalyst material is deposited (The catalyst materials employed are semiconductors with a wide bandgap or gap, often oxides or sulphides (TiO2, ZnO, CeO2, ZrO2, SnO2, CdS, ZnS, .. As a result, the potential energy of the photogenerated charge carriers in the conduction and valence band is in agreement with the electrochemical potentials of redox couples (O 2, H 2 O, OH and organic compounds and can thermodynamically react via oxidation-reduction reactions to achieve complete degradation Titanium dioxide has shown the best performance, especially in the crystallographic form anatase) and under the action of ultraviolet (UVA or UVC) capt then destroy all the organic elements present in the air or in the liquid. On the other hand this system as it is designed allows treatment by traversing and licking the catalyst photo and also allows for photolysis of air or liquid. 3o Moreover, due to its construction a filtration system creates a more or less significant pressure drop according to the flow rates and according to the type of filter. The exposed filter system working in two different ways (crossing through licking) has been imagined the realization of an opening on the lower part of the filter, so as to let directly air or liquid (air or liquid they will be respectively treated by licking the photo-catalyst and by photolysis) which will have the effect of eliminating the pressure drop without altering the result of the treatment.
