Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sock substantially constituted by a textile sheath and will find a particular application for the practice of sport. The practice of sports, such as jogging, rollerblades, tennis or other, generally requires to protect the feet of the athlete with footwear, such as including sneakers, tennis, roller shoes and other, a on the other hand, but also to wear socks often thick and fleece on the other hand. Certainly, during the effort, the fact that the foot is trapped in its footwear is the cause of a significant overheating of the foot, inevitably resulting in the creation of a wet contact zone on the surface of the foot. This wet contact over time causes softening of the skin, which takes on a withered appearance. Fragilated, the skin then hurts more easily, becoming particularly conducive to blisters, cuts, or other injuries. However, there are known thermo-regulation socks for better cooling of the foot, comprising an integrated air channel fabric mesh. For example, EP-1.011.352 discloses a sock comprising an air channel which extends from the sole of the foot to the fastening strip. Although giving certain results, such known socks do not provide complete satisfaction when said wet contact on the surface of the foot. The object of the present invention is to provide an alternative to this sock, particularly allowing to avoid the creation of wet areas in contact with the foot. Another object of the invention is to provide a sock particularly to prevent the creation of a wet area on the back of the foot. Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description and which is not intended to limit it. The invention relates to a sock, substantially consisting of a substantially tubular textile sheath.
According to the invention, the sock comprises localized thicknesses of material, spaced apart from each other, internal to said sock, designed to lift off said sheath at least in part, in order to create an air space, according to localized zones, between said sock and the foot and avoid the creation of wetlands.
The invention will be better understood on reading the following description, accompanied by the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a view in vertical section of a foot, slipped into a shoe, with a sock conforming to invention according to one embodiment, - Figure 2 illustrates the creation of a wet zone at the contact zone, between the skin of the foot and a sock of the state of the art, - Figure 3 is a sectional view in detail of the air gap formed between the sock and the foot according to the invention, - Figure 4 is a view in a section illustrating the air blades localized respectively between the shoe and the sock and between the sock and the foot, for a sock according to the invention according to one embodiment. The invention relates to a sock 1, substantially constituted by a substantially tubular textile sheath 2.
According to the invention, the sock comprises localized thicknesses of material 3, spaced apart from one another, in particular at spacings of identical or different values, internal to the sock, designed to lift off said sheath at least in part. These thicknesses of material advantageously make it possible to create an air knife according to localized zones, in particular between said thicknesses 3 of material, the function of which is to serve as a bracing between the skin of the foot and the textile sheath of said sock. Unlike a sock of the state of the art, whose sheath is constantly in contact with the skin of the foot 5, as shown in Figure 2, the air gap between the sock 1 according to the invention and the foot 5 makes it possible to limit, or even to avoid, a wet contact on the skin of the foot, thus permitting better ventilation of the latter. According to one embodiment of the invention, the sock may furthermore have thicknesses 6 of localized material, spaced apart from each other, in particular at spacings of identical or different values external to said sock, designed to take off from the shoe said sheath, at least partially. These thicknesses 6 advantageously make it possible to create an air gap 7 between said sock 1 and the shoe 8. This air gap 7 is located in zones located between said thicknesses 6 which serve to serve as bracing between the textile sheath 2 of the sock and the inner wall of the boot 8. Advantageously, the thicknesses 6 of material external to the sheath may be provided, in superposition with respect to the material thicknesses 3, internal to the sheath. According to another embodiment not illustrated, the thicknesses 3; 6 of material, internal or external to said sock may be textile overthickness obtained during the knitting said sheath. According to an alternative embodiment, the thicknesses 3; 6, of material, internal or external to the sock may be constituted by inserts, secured to the sheath, including sewing or gluing. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the inserts can be based on silicone. As illustrated, according to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the thicknesses 3; 6 of material, internal or external to the sock 30 may be distributed, centered at least on the back of the foot 9. The thicknesses 3; 6 of material, internal or external to said sock may take the form of strips. These strips, internal or external, may be parallel to each other, especially perpendicular to the main direction of the sheath. According to another variant, the strips may be parallel to each other, oriented parallel to the main direction of the sheath. According to another embodiment, or even cumulative, the thicknesses 3; 6 of material may take the form of pellets distributed on the inner surface and / or outer sleeve, with a sufficient density, in order to take off the foot sheath and / or where appropriate, take off from the shoe said sheath 2. The sheath 2 may have at least one breathing zone 10. This breathing zone will advantageously allow exchanges of atmosphere through the sock. This breathing zone 10 is constituted by a textile whose mesh width is greater than that used for most of the sock. As illustrated in Figure 1, this breathing zone 10 may be centered on the metatarsophalangeal zone 11 of the foot 5. In addition, the sock 1 may have other attributes specific to a sports sock, such as a fastening strip, elastic, at the open end of the sleeve 2, and protective pads provided in particular in areas where the friction is high, such as in particular the posterior heel and anterior see possibly the kick. We now describe the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1. The sock according to the example is constituted by a knitted textile sheath having material thicknesses 3, internal to the sock, constituted by strips 31 of silicone regularly spaced, parallel one to the other, oriented transversely to the main direction of said sheath. The material thicknesses 3 are internal to the sheath, allowing the sheath to take off from the foot. In addition, the sock has localized material thicknesses 6 external constituted by strips 61 of silicone, regularly spaced, transverse to the main direction of the sheath, parallel to each other. It will be noted that the bands 61 of external material are in superposition of the strips 31 internal to the sock 2.
In addition, the example illustrated in Figure 1 shows a breathing zone 10 promoting the exchange of atmosphere between the inner and outer atmosphere of the sock. This breathing zone is centered on the metatarsophalangeal zone 11 constituted by a zone of the sheath whose mesh width is greater than that used for the rest of the sock.
This breathing zone is thus located on a concave zone of the foot, favorable to the detachment of the sock and will advantageously make it possible to communicate the two atmospheres, in particular by putting in communication the two blades of air internal and external to the sock on the back of the foot.
In practice, such a sock has given good results compared to an equivalent textile sheath sock (without the silicone strips 31, 61). After a jog of half an hour, the sock according to the invention was substantially dry on the back of the foot, particularly at the areas of the sheath between the thicknesses of material 3, 6 while the traditional sock was soaked all over the back of the foot. Naturally, other embodiments could have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
