Abstract

The device has a compressible synthetic foam element with beveled elements (6, 7) allowing the blocking of sacrum in delordosis, where the foam element is less deformable. Upper edges of the foam element allow the raising of the sacrum with support against delordosis while leaving free the extension of hip through low width of the device. A round top (5) of the foam element at a large base of the element allows the high raising of the sacrum to compensate the instability of the sacrum by very large width of the device. A rectangular stable base (4) allows the stability of the device. The device has a three fourth cylindrical shape, 25 centimeters of length, 7 centimeters of diameters, and 6 centimeters of width at the level of a base of the device.

Description

The cushions, foams or rollers of current bodybuilding or reeducation have multiple forms. Some may be used to elevate the lower spine to reduce lumbar lordosis for muscle relaxation and pain relief. But not being designed to fit into a specific program of rehabilitation of the lombo pelvi femoral region where the role of the psoas is considered major cômme, they do not allow to achieve at the same time a stretch of the psoas. In addition, they often slide because they are not designed to perform a delordosis, but only used to lift the pelvis, which is not the same thing. The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. I1 is constituted in fact, according to a first feature, a single compressible but deformable synthetic foam element whose shapes give it specific technical qualities namely that the beveled edges allow the wedging of the sacrum in delordosis, the upper corners allow the raising of the sacrum with delirious support, while leaving free, by its small width, the extension of the hips, that the rounded top with a wider base allows higher elevations whose instability is offset by a greater width and that the flat base and the foam consistency promotes its stability.

According to particular embodiments: - the qualities of the material used combine compressibility and low deformability without which the device would lack on the one hand comfort, on the other hand efficiency. - the 3/4 cylinder shape 25 cm long, 7 cm in diameter and 6 cm wide at its base, beveled at both ends along two curves between the rounded top and the base, the one with a soft slope on 10 centimeters the other on only 7 centimeters give to the device its technical qualities and can not undergo a significant variation during their manufacture if it is not in proportion for different sizes of devices adapted to the template of the user . -2- - The gently sloping 10 cm shape has an exponential shape that can adapt to the shape of the sacrum. - The beveled shape with steeper slope on only 7 centimeters, allows to lift the sacrum by giving a base of delordering support. - The narrow size of 7 centimeters form allows free extension of the hip or both hips. - The rounded shape of the top of the device allows to lift the sacrum in a stable position. the rectangular base of the device allows a great stability of the device. the device of the invention can be used at the level of the skull for the exercises of cervical delordosis. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents the section of the device of the invention. FIG. 2 represents the device of the invention, in profile. FIG. 3 represents the device of the invention, with a profile seen from a height of 3/4. FIG. 4 represents the device of the invention, in two of its practical uses, here for the stretching exercises of the psoas muscle. and the exercises of cervical delordosis. FIG. 5 represents the device of the invention, in one of its practical uses, here for lumbar relaxation exercises. With reference to these drawings, the device consists of a single foam element whose 3/4 cylinder shape (1) is 7 centimeters in diameter (2) and 6 centimeters wide at its base ( 3) and 25 centimeters long (4), beveled at both ends along two curves between the rounded top (5) and the base, one with a gentle slope (6) over 10 centimeters whose exponential shape fits in the shape of the sacrum the other (7) on only 7 centimeters, allows by its long side to position the sacrum (A) in delordosis and by its short side to lift it giving a base of delordering support (B) when used longitudinally, while allowing free hip extension, and when placed transversely to maintain a stable sacral lifting function (C) for conventional exercises performed with both knees bent. The overall effect of the device is either to conform to the shape of the sacrum, or to lift it without hindering the extension of the hip or hips, in a stable and comfortable manner. The invention therefore relates to a device for improving the performance of exercises or maneuvers to improve the flexibility of the muscles of the posterior vertebral chain and psoas muscles, the main cause of deformities in hyperlordosis. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for fitness rooms and physiotherapy cabinets, rehabilitation establishments and practices of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, but also for the general public in the context of home exercises or practices sports association.
