Dispositif de recirculation des qaz d'échappement (EGR) dit basseRecirculating exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR)
pression. The present invention relates to the field of internal combustion engines of motor vehicles and proposes in particular a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation device. To achieve the level of pollution required by the legislation for an internal combustion engine, it is necessary to use an exhaust gas recirculation circuit called EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), the principle of which is the use of a valve that takes a portion of the exhaust gas to reintroduce to the intake also called EGR valve. Indeed, the pollutants emitted by the exhaust gases of motor vehicles such as nitrogen oxides noted NO, CO carbon monoxide and HC unburned hydrocarbons have adverse consequences for the environment and health. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) reduces the level of these NOx in the exhaust. To do this, there is currently an exhaust gas recirculation device called HP (High Pressure) for internal combustion engines of the diesel type which consists of taking the exhaust gas upstream of the turbine of a turbocharger to reinject them downstream of the turbocharger compressor. The exhaust gas recirculation for such a device is effected between the turbocharger and the internal combustion engine. The fraction of recycled gas still called EGR rate is ensured by the pressure difference between the exhaust and the admission also called driving delta P, used as motive power. Indeed, the higher the pressure difference, the larger the recycled gas fraction. However, such a device limits the fraction of recycled gas for a given boost pressure level. Moreover, because of the compactness of the engine compartment, this device is not very permeable. The current solutions also propose an LP (low pressure) exhaust gas recirculation device which consists of withdrawing the exhaust gases after the turbine for reinjecting them before the compressor. In order to avoid premature wear of the compressor, such a device requires the introduction of a particulate filter upstream of the sample, to recycle exhaust gases free of particles. This so-called BP device makes it possible to increase the permeability of the circuit with respect to the HP EGR device. But as the pressure difference between the exhaust and the intake is very low over most of the operation of the internal combustion engine, the fraction of recycled gas is also very low. To remedy this drawback, it is known to insert an exhaust flap in the exhaust line of the EGR device called BP downstream of the sample in order to generate a counter pressure and thus force the circulation of the exhaust gases in the EGR circuit. But even with the insertion of this exhaust flap, the fraction of recycled gas is limited by the device on low loads. JP 2001073741 discloses an EGR system for an engine taking part of the exhaust gas, circulating in the exhaust pipe, this EGR system being arranged after the turbocharger and the particulate filter so as to reinject upstream of the compressor the exhaust gases taken. The EGR system is composed of an EGR conduit comprising an exhaust duct connected to the intake duct and the EGR duct comprises an EGR pump and an EGR control valve controlling the flow of exhaust gases. It is also known from patent JP 2002276405 an exhaust gas control device for a diesel-type internal combustion engine comprising a turbocharger having a turbine disposed in the exhaust duct and a compressor disposed in the exhaust duct. intake, a first EGR conduit for communicating with the intake duct downstream of the compressor, a first EGR valve disposed in the first EGR duct, a catalyst, and a particulate filter disposed in the exhaust duct downstream of the turbine . If the exhaust temperature of the engine is higher than the temperature of the catalyst, the device performs a control action to regulate the first EGR valve and if the exhaust temperature of the engine is lower than the catalyst temperature, the device performs a control action to regulate either the intake flap or the exhaust flap or both. Finally, US Pat. No. 6,973,786 proposes an EGR system capable of providing a first EGR loop when the engine is operating at low loads and a second EGR loop when the engine is operating at high loads. When the first EGR loop is selected, the exhaust gases recirculate from upstream of the turbocharger turbine downstream of the turbocharger compressor. When the second EGR loop is selected, the exhaust gases recirculate downstream of the turbine upstream of the compressor. The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages of the prior art by proposing an exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR) said low pressure (BP) to ensure an increase in the fraction of recycled gas or rate EGR when the internal combustion engine is running at low loads. To achieve this purpose, the low pressure exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR) comprising a turbocharger having a turbine disposed in the exhaust duct of an internal combustion engine and a compressor disposed in the exhaust duct. admission of the internal combustion engine, a particulate filter disposed after the turbine in the exhaust duct, the exhaust duct separating into two ducts after the particulate filter, the first duct being in the exhaust line and for directing the exhaust gases towards the exhaust and the second conduit for directing the exhaust gas to an EGR circuit so as to reinject, in the intake duct and upstream of the compressor with respect to the direction of the exhaust gases. intake gas, the exhaust gas, the EGR circuit comprising a cooler and an EGR valve arranged in the second duct, is characterized in that it comprises two shaped flaps circularly mounted pivoted and in series in the first duct located in the exhaust line so that the two flaps can take a plurality of positions between a so-called closure position where the circular surface of the two flaps is perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the first duct and a so-called opening position where the circular surface of the two flaps is parallel to the axis of symmetry of the first duct. In another feature, the pivoting of the two flaps is provided by at least one control means according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine. According to another feature, the two flaps are arranged in the first duct and close to the separation of the exhaust duct in two ducts, the first flap being upstream of the second flap with respect to the flow of the exhaust gases. moving in this first conduit. According to another feature, the diameter of the circular surface of the two flaps may be either different or identical, the diameter of the circular surface of the two flaps being smaller than the section of the first duct. The present invention also aims to provide a first mode of operation of the exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR) said low pressure (BP). To achieve this goal, the first mode of operation of the low pressure EGR device comprises a turbocharger having a turbine disposed in the exhaust duct of an internal combustion engine and a compressor disposed in the intake duct of the engine. internal combustion, a particulate filter disposed after the turbine in the exhaust duct, the exhaust duct separating into two ducts after the particulate filter, the first duct serving to direct the exhaust gases towards the exhaust and the second conduit serving to direct the exhaust gases towards an EGR circuit so as to reinject, in the intake duct and upstream of the compressor with respect to the direction of the intake gases, the exhaust gases, the circuit EGR comprising a cooler followed by an EGR valve arranged in the second conduit, is s characterized in that the two circular-shaped flaps are pivotally mounted and in series in the first conduit so that the two flaps can take a plurality of parallel position between them. According to another feature, at least one control means controls an identical angular position of the two flaps according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine. Another object of the invention is to propose a second mode of operation of the low pressure EGR device. To achieve this goal, the second mode of operation of the device is low pressure EGR comprising a turbocharger having a turbine disposed in the exhaust duct of an internal combustion engine and a compressor disposed in the intake duct of the combustion engine internal, a particulate filter disposed after the turbine in the exhaust duct, the exhaust duct separating into two ducts after the particulate filter, the first duct serving to direct the exhaust gas to the exhaust and the second conduit serving to direct the exhaust gases to an EGR circuit so as to reinject, in the intake duct and upstream of the compressor with respect to the direction of the intake gases, the exhaust gases, the EGR circuit; comprising a cooler followed by an EGR valve arranged in the second conduit, is characterized in that the two circular-shaped flaps are pivotally mounted and in series in the p first conduit so that the two flaps can take a plurality of different angular position between them. According to another feature, at least one control means 30 controls a different angular position of the two flaps according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine.
According to another feature, the second component is controlled by the control means if the first component reaches its zone of non-controllability. A particulate filter (3) is disposed after the turbine (22) in the exhaust duct (12) to prevent premature wear of the compressor (21). The exhaust duct (12) separates into two ducts (121, 122) after the particulate filter (3), the first duct (121) being located in the exhaust line and serving to orient the gases of exhaust to the exhaust and the second conduit (122) for directing the exhaust gas to an EGR circuit (4) so as to reinject the exhaust gases into the intake duct (11) and upstream of the exhaust duct (11). compressor (21) with respect to the direction of the inlet gases. The EGR circuit (4) includes a cooler (40) and an EGR valve (41) disposed in the second conduit (122). The exhaust gas recirculation device, also called low pressure EGR, also comprises two flaps (51, 52) of circular shape pivotally mounted and in series in the first duct (121) so that the two flaps (51 , 52) can take a plurality of positions between a so-called closure position where the circular surface of the two flaps (51, 52) is perpendicular to the axis (A) of symmetry of the first duct (121) and a position called opening where the circular surface of the two flaps (51, 52) is parallel to the axis (A) of symmetry of the first duct (121). The two flaps (51, 52) are arranged in the first duct (121) and close to the separation of the exhaust duct (12) in two ducts (121, 122). The first flap (51) is upstream of the second flap (52) with respect to the flow of the exhaust gases moving in this first duct (121). The diameter of the circular surface of the two flaps (51, 52) can be either different or identical. It should be noted that the diameter of the circular surface of the two flaps (51, 52) being smaller than the section of the first duct (121). The two flaps (51, 52) are pivoted by at least one control means (50) according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine (1). The control means (50) may be either a single actuator for controlling the two flaps (51, 52) simultaneously or two control units for controlling respectively the two flaps (51, 52), the actuator being the control means (50) the least expensive. Hereinafter will be described a first mode of operation of the exhaust gas recirculation device also called low pressure EGR according to the invention which has just been described. With reference to FIG. 1, the first mode of operation corresponds to a mode of operation said to be in parallel with the two flaps (51, 52). Indeed, the two flaps (51, 52) of circular shape and pivotally mounted and in series in the first duct (121) can take a plurality of parallel position between them between their open position and their closed position. The control means (50) controls an identical angular position of the two flaps (51, 52) according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine (1). Hereinafter will be described a second mode of operation of the exhaust gas recirculation device also called low pressure EGR according to the invention which has just been described. With reference to FIG. 2, the second mode of operation corresponds to a so-called sequential operating mode of the two flaps (51, 52). Indeed, the two flaps (51, 52) of circular shape and pivotally mounted and in series in the first duct (121) can take a plurality of different position between them between their open position and their closed position. The control means (50) controls a different angular position of the two flaps (51, 52) according to information representative of the operating points of the internal combustion engine (1). Indeed, when the internal combustion engine (1) operates at low loads, the first flap (51) is controlled to move into the closed position and reaches a zone of non-controllability which triggers the activation of the second flap ( 52) controlled by the control means (50).
