Abstract
The process for treating a natural gas comprising an acid compound of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide and mercaptans, comprises contacting a hydrocarbon fluid containing carbonyl sulfide and mercaptans with a mixture composed of water and products of lamellar double hydroxide and mixed oxides, and collecting the mixture of carbonyl sulfide and mercaptans to obtain a hydrocarbon fluid impoverished in acid compound. The natural gas is de-acidified with an absorbent solution to produce a gas impoverished in carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. The natural gas is de-acidified with an absorbent solution to produce a gas impoverished in carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, and is impoverished in mercaptans by contacting the natural gas with a first molecular sieve functioning in alter with a second sieve. The second sieve is traversed by a regeneration gas for desorbing the mercaptans. The hydrocarbon fluid is constituted of gas impoverished in carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide and a regeneration gas loaded with mercaptans. The natural gas is separated in a section comprising methane and ethane and a liquid section comprising heavy hydrocarbons. The products loaded with carbonyl sulfide and mercaptans are regenerated in two operations to liberate a first effluent gas rich in carbon dioxide and a second effluent gas rich in sulfur respectively. The mixed oxides are obtained from moderate heat treatment of lamellar double hydroxide.
