Description
1 L'invention concerne une éolienne à axe de rotation vertical, etThe invention relates to a wind turbine with vertical axis of rotation, and
Vertical axis wind turbines were mainly developed by engineer Darrieus. They were then supplanted by wind turbines with horizontal axis of rotation, installed first on land, then at sea, so called offshore. Currently, offshore wind turbines are installed on shallow sea depths, the mast of the wind turbine is simply subject to the seabed including threshing or through foundations cast in, or placed on the seabed. Document WO-03/004869 discloses a wind turbine with a horizontal floating or semi-floating axis. This wind turbine can be anchored to greater sea depths through cables and anchors. The verticality of the structure is ensured by large submarine masses, under the float, designed to oppose the considerable effect of the lever arm of horizontal axis wind turbines. Document WO-03/089787 also discloses a vertical axis floating wind turbine. The rotor of the wind turbine comprises a support mast and vertical blades, and a submarine part in which the alternator deported in depth counterbalance to stabilize the verticality of the wind turbine. The center of gravity of the rotor is thus high, making said wind turbine unstable, especially under heavy wave conditions. Also, the use of the alternator in order to counterbalance requires lengthening significantly the length of the rotor, which poses problems of vibratory order and guidance for the rotor. In addition, the rigidity of the rotor blade is critical, the energy efficiency of the wind turbine is not optimum regardless of the wind speeds. The object of the present invention is to provide a vertical axis wind turbine to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a wind turbine whose center of gravity rotor is lowered with a rotor 2907517 compact. Another object of the invention is to provide a wind turbine ensuring optimum energy efficiency and this regardless of the wind speed.
Another object of the invention is to propose a floating wind turbine whose vertical stability, in particular under wave conditions, is facilitated. Another object of the invention is to propose a wind turbine of simple construction, the blade support structure of which is particularly compact, of small diameter. Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description, which is not intended to limit it. The invention relates to a wind turbine with a vertical axis of rotation 15 comprising: - a rotor having at least two blades and a hub supporting the blades, - an energy generator, in particular an alternator or an electrolyzer, driven, directly or indirectly, by the rotor.
According to the invention, the wind turbine is of the Darrieus type without the support mast of the blades, each of the blades being secured directly at its lower end to said hub, or indirectly via an offset arm. The invention will be better understood on reading the following description accompanied by the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a wind turbine according to the invention according to a first embodiment (three-rotor blades having a continuous curvilinear elongation and a spherical float), FIG. 2 is a partial front view of a blade according to the invention according to a second embodiment (rotor whose blades have a linear elongation and broken), FIG. 3 is a view of a blade of a wind turbine as illustrated in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a partial view of a wedging device actuated by a piston mechanism provided for a wind turbine. As illustrated in FIG. 1 or FIG. 2, FIG. 5 schematically represents an alternative of the wedging device comprising an epicyclic reduction gear, FIG. 6 is a sectional view illustrating a generator of FIG. energy composed by an indirect attack alternator; FIG. 7 is a sectional view illustrating an energy generator constituted by a direct drive alternator, discoid type; FIG. 8 is a partial schematic view illustrating a wind turbine; according to the invention according to a third embodiment, for which each blade is indirectly fastened to the hub by means of an offset arm; FIG. 9 is a schematic view of the hub and the offset arm such that The invention relates to a wind turbine 1 with a vertical axis of rotation, comprising: a rotor 2 having at least two blades 3 and a hub 4 supporting the blades; a power generator 5, in particular FIG. electricity, driven, directly or indirectly, by the rotor. A hub means a central part of the rotor. The hub 4 does not ensure the radial offset of each of the blades relative to the axis of rotation of the rotor of the wind turbine. According to the invention, the wind turbine is of the Darrieus type, without the support mast of the blades, each of the blades 3, 31, 32 being directly attached to its lower end to said hub, or indirectly via an arm. The hub 4 does not ensure the radial offset of the blade 2907517 4 compared to the axis of rotation of the rotor, the torque induced on the rotor by the wind will be obtained via the offset arms 30 each joining the lower end of said blade 3 to said hub 4, as illustrated with the embodiment of FIGS. 8 and 9, or else by the shape of the blade whose elongation deviates from the rotation axis of said rotor, as illustrated in Figures 1 to 4. Where appropriate, these two techniques can be combined. In particular when the blades are fastened directly to the hub, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, each of the blades 31, 32 may have a concave profile, oriented on the inside of the rotor 2, as illustrated in FIG. FIG. 2. The rotor 2 is thus flared, the distance d from one point of the blade to the axis of rotation 6 of the rotor being increasing, strictly or not depending on the height of the rotor 2. In the case of deformable blades, this condition over the distance d will be respected at least during the operation of the wind turbine, during which time the rotor is subjected to centrifugal forces. In addition, the distal end of the blades may be provided with fins 19 designed to limit turbulence at the end of the blades. These fins may in particular be oriented towards the inside of the rotor but are not counted as part of the height h of the rotor 20 concerning the condition previously stated over the distance d. In addition, in order to increase the efficiency of each blade, the aerodynamic profiles of the latter may have a self-adjusting angle variable according to the height of said blade, a function of the distance d from the point of the blade to the axis of rotation of the rotor to optimize the velocity triangles and thus the yield of the profiles. Furthermore, in FIG. 2, the wedging of the aerodynamic profiles of the section 81 or 82 of the blade may be caused to vary even if this section is at rest at a distance d constant from the axis 20 of the rotor, in order to take into account the deformations of the sections under the effect of the centrifugal forces.
As illustrated in FIG. 2, or again in FIG. 3, each blade may be formed by an aerodynamic profile generated along one or two segments, with on the one hand at least one oblique segment 71 , 72 lower, defined by a mean angle [3 relative to the horizontal between 0 and 90 excluded, and secondly, an optional upper segment 81, 82, inclined at an average angle y relative to the horizontal above strictly at the angle R, in particular between 0 and 90 inclusive. In the case of a blade generated along two segments, in particular as illustrated in FIG. 2, the oblique segment 71 makes it possible to deport the upper segment 81 horizontally by a distance dp with respect to a vertical axis 20 of rotation of the blade 3 with respect to the hub 4 passing through the lower end of the blade. In the same way in FIG. 3, the oblique lower segment 72 makes it possible to deport the upper segment 82. Advantageously, the upper segments 81, 82, of greater radius with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor, may be of length substantially greater than the lower segments 71, 72.
According to an embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 2, the oblique segment 71 and, if appropriate, the upper segment 81 are rectilinear. The blade illustrated in Figure 2 may be of integral metal structure, or integrally composite structure, or a hybrid structure combining metal and composite materials.
According to another embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the oblique segment 72 and, where appropriate, the upper segment 82 are curvilinear. Each blade 31 has a curvilinear elongation without breaking in order to minimize stress concentrations. In particular, in the case of a blade generated along two curvilinear segments, the connection zone 25 between the two segments is continuous without breaking. The rope of the blade, namely the dimension between the leading edge and the trailing edge, may advantageously be variable, in particular decreasing according to the height of the blade as illustrated in FIG. 3. The wind turbine may have, in addition, a device for limiting the deformation of the blades 31 when the rotor 2 is subjected to centrifugal rotational forces.
As shown in Figure 1, this device can take the form of a link securing the blades together at any height, but advantageously towards the top, especially at the top of the segments 81 or 82, for example at the fin 19. As illustrated this link may have a star conformation. In another example, the link securing the upper part of one blade could be connected to the lower parts of another blade, or other blades. The link may consist in particular of a cable. The rotor may further include a wedging device 10 for adjusting the orientation of the blades or at least the orientation of an upper segment of the blades, depending on the wind speed. This wedging device may comprise a sensor for measuring the wind speed, such as an anemometer, or may cooperate with such a sensor to enable servo-control of the orientation of each of the blades as a function of the value of the wind speed. measured speed. Advantageously, as shown in Figure 4, the rotor 2 may have means 9 for hinging the blades 31 relative to the hub 4 according to at least one vertical axis of rotation. In particular, as illustrated in Figure 4, each blade has its own vertical axis of rotation.
Ces moyens d'articulation pourront être constitués par un tourillon à l'extrémité supérieure du segment inférieur 71 ou 72, engageant en 30 rotation avec un alésage, notamment pourvu d'un palier, de l'extrémité inférieure du segment supérieur 81 ou 82.According to another embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9, the rotor 2 may have blade articulation means 3 with respect to the offset arm 30, in particular constituted by an axis of rotation 15. According to another embodiment , not illustrated, in the case of a blade having a lower oblique segment 71 or 72, and an upper segment 81, 82, the rotor 2 may have means for articulating the upper segment 81 or 82 of the blades with respect to lower segment 71 or 72 respectively. These hinge means may be constituted by a pin at the upper end of the lower segment 71 or 72, engaging in rotation with a bore, in particular provided with a bearing, the lower end of the upper segment 81 or 82.
The rigging device 10 may have at least one actuator, such as a servo motor or a jack for driving the blades in rotation, or, at the very least, the upper segment of the blades 81, 82, in particular by means of transmission means such as cam, cable, gear, gimbal, transmission shaft, or the like. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the hub 4 supporting the blades may take the form of a plate equipped with axes intended for the rotation of the blades 31. Each blade 31 has at its lower end an insertion of insert suitable for 10 cooperate in pivot with said axis of rotation 15. As illustrated in Figure 4, in one example, the wedging device may be constituted by a piston mechanism, each piston 11 being articulated at its ends, in particular between said hub 4 and one of the blades 31. According to another embodiment, not illustrated, the setting device 15 may be constituted by a mechanism incorporating a cam secured to the articulation means of each of the blades, said cam being rotated by a piston articulated between said hub and said cam. According to another embodiment, the wedging device 10 may be constituted by a mechanism comprising an epicyclic type gear. The epicyclic gear, as illustrated in Figure 5 comprises a drive sun gear 12, and planet gears 13 subject to the blades. Advantageously, the rotor 2 may have three blades to avoid jolts of a two-blade system. According to one embodiment, the wind turbine may be a terrestrial wind turbine or a marine wind turbine, having at least one float 14. A float means a body lighter than water allowing at least the rotor of the wind turbine of stay out of the water. However, the float 14 may be wholly or partially immersed. Advantageously, the wind turbine may have a single float 30 of suitable shape, spherical, ovoid, ellipsoid or toric, or any combination of these basic forms, the shape of the float being advantageously chosen so that the movement of the center of thrust induced by the inclination of the float relative to the body of water does not destabilize the float or even ensures the stability of the float by promoting the return of the latter in its equilibrium position.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the single float may be ovoid, ellipsoid, toric or preferably spherical or semi-spherical. Advantageously, the support hub 4, in particular the plate, is secured to the float by means of a rolling or bearing system rigidly attached to the float structure. This rolling or bearing system makes it possible to guide the rotor in rotation, possibly by preventing any translation movement of the rotor in the direction of the rotation axis 20 of the rotor. Vertical stabilization of the wind turbine can be provided at least in part by stress cables secured around the float. The vertical stabilization can be completed further by at least one ballast suspended by a flexible connection under the float concerned, or by a ballast rigidly secured under the float forming a keel, or by a weight 21 integrated in the structure of the float, on the bottom.
The energy generator may be an alternator, a dynamo or an electrolyser. The rotor 2 of the wind turbine may have a transmission shaft secured to the hub 4, able to transmit the rotational torque of the rotor 2 to the energy generator. The energy generator, in particular sealed in said at least one float 14 may be indirect attack, the wind turbine having a reducing mechanism or an amplifier mechanism disposed between the rotor and said alternator. The alternator can be direct attack, particularly discoid type, that is to say that the rotor and the alternator are at the same speed.
Naturally, other embodiments and / or other applications within the reach of those skilled in the art could also have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention.
