Les deux éléments de fixation sont composés d'une embase et d'une barre horizontale. Cette dernière est reliée à l'embase, et reçoit une barre libre. Un espace horizontal à section en forme de T, débouchant sur la partie inférieure de la barre, permet le coulissement de la barre. Il y a des trous allongés sur la barre horizontale et la barre libre, qui viennent en regard des trous allongés et des vis sont engagées au travers de ces trous. La barre comprend des manchons reliés à des pièces de jonction de forme plus ou moins carrée, ouvertes sur le côté, qui sont engagées sur la barre horizontale et la barre libre. Chaque pièce de jonction 8 est conformée et dimensionnée pour pouvoir être disposée dans un sens ou dans l'autre sur les barres 2 et 3, c'est-à-dire avec son ouverture tournée vers l'espace situé entre les éléments de fixation, ou du côté opposé de cet espace.
