Abstract

  FIELD OF THE INVENTION The field of the invention is that of childcare. More specifically, the invention relates to children's bathtubs.

  By bath for child, here means any device or article intended to give a bath to a child. It can include bathtubs for children with a frame designed to adapt to bathroom baths, but also transportable children's bathtubs mounted on a foldable support.

  PRIOR ART SOLUTIONS In order to make the children's baths less cumbersome, the basin is generally not secured to the support. It is thus possible to fold the support, if it is retractable, and store it independently of the basin, to improve the space saving and storage convenience of the device.

  Bathtubs for children with removable basin mounted on support have existed for a long time. However, a major problem of this type of device is the risk of overturning the basin, it being only placed on the support.

  The center of gravity of the child's bathtub is much higher than that of a basin placed on the floor. Thus, several types of accidents can be caused by the substantially high position of the basin. The child can indeed, by leaning on one of the edges of the tub, possibly cause the overturning of the bowl, and its fall by consequence.

  Most of the time, these kinds of accidents do not happen because the child is constantly under the watchful eye of the person who gives him the bath.

  However, under certain conditions and in some cases, the supervision of this person may be momentarily diverted. This may be the case, for example, when the telephone or the doorbell rings, when an object falls, or more generally when any kind of fortuitous or surprising event occurs. Unfortunately, it is often at this moment that the child makes an untimely movement, which can cause the turning of the bathtub.

  It can also happen that one of the big brothers or sisters is tempted to grab on one of the ledges of the basin. He may want to get up to the baby to better observe it, or simply hang in the basin to swing. If this maneuver is exerted on one of the edges of the basin that does not rest on the support, it can cause the reversal of the basin causing simultaneously the fall of the newborn. This fall can result in bruising or injury.

  OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION The invention particularly aims to overcome these disadvantages of the prior art.

  More specifically, the invention aims to provide a bathtub for children with removable basin that provides better safety for the child.

  The invention also aims to provide such a child bath that is convenient to use, particularly limiting the number of manipulations required.

  The invention also aims to provide such a child's bathtub that is simple in design, easy to implement and inexpensive. These objectives, as well as others which will appear later, are achieved by means of a child's bathtub comprising a support and a removable basin.

  According to the invention, this child's bath comprises means for locking the basin on the support.

  This secures the connection between the support and the basin, limiting the risk of overturning thereof.

  Advantageously, the locking is done automatically which ensures great operational safety while limiting the operations to be performed.

  According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking means comprise at least two remote elements formed on the support.

  Advantageously, the remote elements comprise at least one fixed element providing a function for guiding and / or maintaining the basin, and at least one movable element providing a locking / unlocking function of the basin.

  Preferably, the remote elements are male elements extending substantially vertically, to cooperate with complementary housing provided for this purpose on the basin.

  More specifically, the support of the bath has a protuberance on each upper part of the support frames. Only one protrusion allows the locking of the basin, the other serving only as a guide when laying the removable basin. The use of a single guide element without locking function facilitates the unlocking of the basin of the support, only one side needing to be unlocked.

  According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the locking means implement clipping means.

  The clipping means allow a quick and efficient locking of the removable basin on the support. The removable basin is thus fixed on the support, which considerably reduces the risk of turning the tub.

  According to this advantageous embodiment, the clipping means are made using at least one retractable button.

  These clipping means with retractable button limit the number of manipulations to be performed when locking and unlocking the removable basin 25 on the support.

  The invention also relates to a removable basin and a removable basin support as described above.

  6 Detailed description of the invention

  With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a child's bathtub according to the invention is described below. Such a child's bathtub comprises a removable basin 12 and a support 11 on which it can be placed.

  The general principle of the invention is to ensure a locking of the removable basin 12 on the support 11 in order to avoid reversal.

  Note that the support 11 of the child bath according to the invention is advantageously a foldable support, for example in the form of an articulated X, of the type shown in Figure 3. However, other supports may be considered for to receive the edges of the basin 12.

  Referring to Figures 1 and 3, the support 11 of the bath therefore comprises, according to a particular embodiment, two U-shaped frames 17, movable relative to each other around a connecting element 15 , and interconnected by a rigid connecting bar 16. To limit the maximum angular difference, a retaining system 19 is fixed on the upper part of each frame, for example made in the form of a chain or a thread.

  Note in Figure 3 that the upper part of each of the two frames 17 of the support 11 has a protrusion, or male element 31, extending substantially vertically.

  As clearly apparent in Figures 1 and 2, the basin 12 has complementary housing 21 of the male elements 31 of the support 11, which are positioned on the rim thereof. These complementary housing 21 define an opening extending substantially longitudinally while following the curve of the rim of the basin 12.

  Each male element 31 of the support 11 is thus able to engage in one or other of the two complementary housing 21 present on the rim of the basin 12.

  One of the two male elements 31 has a clipping system 22 preventing the removal of the bath if no action is performed on this clipping system 22. The second male element 31 is fixed, and provides a guiding role for the installing the bathtub on the support 11.

  The clipping system 22 of the male element 31 comprises a retractable button 23. This retractable button 23 is preferably made of a shape memory material so as to ensure the return of the button in its output position after it has been been compressed. It is also possible, in another embodiment of the invention, to consider a retractable button provided with a return spring also allowing the return of the button in its locked position.

  As it appears in FIG. 1, when the support 11 is placed in the unfolded position, the basin 12 is placed, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, on the support 11 in the direction of the length perpendicular to the upper part. of the two frames.

  The locking principle, avoiding the reversal of the basin 12, will now be exposed.

  In order to lock the basin 12, the support 11 is first unfolded and installed in a stable position, where the four legs of the support 11 rest on a flat surface. The basin 12 is installed by threading the male guide element 13 into one of the two openings 21 that the basin 12 has.

  When the male guide member 13 is engaged in one of the complementary housing 21 of the basin 12, the locking of the basin 12 is performed by threading the male clipping element 14, including the clipping system 22, in the complementary housing 21 facing the one used by the guiding element 13. A sufficient thrust exerted on the rim of the basin 12 ensures the clipping on the support 11. The locked position is thus obtained when the retractable button 23 is completely released on the rim of the basin 12, without further manipulation.

  The unlocking of the basin 12 of the support 11 is achieved by compressing the retractable knob 23 and simultaneously exerting a vertical thrust upward on the edge of the basin 12 in the vicinity of the complementary housing 21 used for clipping.

  When the male clipping element 14, having the retractable button 23, is no longer engaged in the complementary housing 21, the disengagement of the male guide element 13 is effected by moving the rim of the basin 12 of the support 11 .

  Thus the locking is automatically achieved when a predetermined weight value is placed in the basin 12 or when pressure is exerted on the rim of the bath near the clipping system 22.

  In this preferred embodiment, the invention provides better safety for the newborn.

  In addition, the limited number of manipulations required to lock the basin on the support simplifies the installation of the bathtub.

  In other embodiments, each male element 31 may comprise a retractable button 23, the locking system then taking place at the two complementary housings 21 of the basin 12. One can even consider a locking system with more than two clipping systems 22 operating independently or simultaneously.

  In another embodiment, the two male elements 31 can be fixed, the securing being ensured by the engagement of these with the complementary housing 21.
