Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour établir des images cartographiques de vecteurs vitesses de courants marins de surface (10), dans lequel des faisceaux d'ondes électromagnétiques sont émis en direction de la surface par un système, vers l'avant gauche et l'avant droit de la trajectoire (Iy) du système et vers l'arrière gauche et l'arrière droit de la trajectoire, à partir de deux antennes (LFA, RAA) espacées l'une de l'autre suivant la direction de la trajectoire et suivant une direction (Ix) perpendiculaire, et des valeurs d'angle de roulis (alpha) et de longueur (bx) de base d'antenne reliant les deux antennes sont déterminées à l'aide d'interférométries différentielles appliquées aux ondes électromagnétiques réfléchies par la surface entre les faisceaux émis vers l'avant (LFi, RFi) et vers l'arrière (LAi, RAi), les images cartographiques étant constituées à l'aide d'une interférométrie différentielle de type parallèle à la trajectoire, en utilisant les valeurs d'angle de roulis et de longueur de base d'antenne obtenues.
