Abstract

The device has a laser mounted on a headband fixed on a front of a subject and a screen, where the screen has a size of a paper sheet and is held by the subject. The screen is equipped with a graduated scale whose graduation is in degree and is function of distance between the screen and the eye. The graduation permits to visualize the projection of the laser when the subject is in horizontal looking position as well as when the subject is in reading position.

Description

2885292 12885292 1

The invention relates to a device for measuring the angle of inclination of the head and the angle of rotation of the eye during reading.

There is currently no simple system for calculating the angle of inclination of the head to choose the appropriate progressive lens.

Indeed, according to a preferred form, it consists of a head clamp provided with a laser projecting a line either horizontal or vertical by simple rotation of the laser. The headband tilts the laser so that its projection arrives on a screen the size of a sheet. This screen is held by the subject. The screen is equipped with a scale graduated vertically, the graduation is in degree, it is a function of the distance between the laser and the eye of the subject, it allows to visualize the projection of the laser when the subject is in the position of horizontal view and when the subject is in the playback position. The difference between the two projections gives the angle of rotation of the head.

By difference between the angle of rotation of the head and the reading angle, the vertical angle of rotation of the eye is obtained.

Similarly, if the laser projects a vertical line and the graduation is horizontal, this graduation makes it possible to visualize the projection of the laser when the subject is in the reading position. The difference between the two extreme projections gives the angle of horizontal mobility of the head and by difference with the horizontal reading angle, the horizontal rotation angle of the eye.

According to a variant, the laser can project a cross

Claims (1)

1) Device for measuring the angle of inclination of the head and the angle of rotation of the eye during reading, intended in particular for the morphological measurement of the movement of the head and the eye for the choice progressive ophthalmological lenses, characterized in that it is composed of a laser mounted on a headband attached to the forehead of a subject and a screen. This screen is the size of a paper sheet, it is held by the subject. The screen is equipped with a graduated scale, the graduation is in degree, it is a function of the distance between the screen and the eye of the subject; it allows you to view the laser projection when the subject is in the horizontal viewing position and when the subject is in the playback position. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the laser projects a horizontal line and that the graduation of the scale of the screen is vertical. The graduation shows the laser projection when the subject is in the horizontal viewing position and when the subject is in the playback position. The difference between the two projections gives the angle of rotation of the head and, by difference with the reading angle, the vertical angle of rotation of the eye 3) Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the laser projects a vertical line and that the scaling of the scale of the screen is horizontal. This graduation makes it possible to view the projection of the laser when the subject is in the horizontal viewing position as well as when the subject is in the reading position. The difference between the two extreme projections gives the angle of horizontal mobility of the head and in difference with the horizontal reading, we obtain the angle of rotation of the eye. 4) Device according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that the laser projects a cross.
