Abstract

The cabinet has a rack (10) sliding on runners (11, 12) arranged on inner sides of vertical posts (1, 2). Each runner is adjustable in height by protrusions cooperating with notches (5). The posts are made of thin sheet, and a stiffener (13) of adjustable length extends near the front side, perpendicularly to the posts. The stiffener is maintained against outer sides of the posts and permits sliding of the rack. The vertical posts (1, 2) are equipped with two series of notches (3, 4) superimposed vertically and spaced longitudinally. Holding units (6, 7) hold the posts, and reinforcement units (8, 9) are provided in the back side. An independent claim is also included for a use of a storage cabinet.

Storage cabinet of the type comprising two vertical lateral uprights

  The present invention relates to a storage cabinet of the type comprising: - two vertical lateral uprights, parallel and spaced, provided with at least two sets of notches superimposed vertically and spaced longitudinally; - upper and lower means of maintenance spaced amounts; - Reinforcing means disposed in the rear face of said cabinet, the front face remaining open; and at least one shelf adapted to slide forward on a slide device disposed on the internal faces of said lateral uprights, each slide being adjustable in height by the cooperation of a pair of projections coinciding with a horizontal pair of said notches.

  The present invention also relates to a particular use of this type of storage cabinet.

  This type of storage cabinet has been the subject of many embodiments using various devices to strengthen the structure thus defined to support the loads and to avoid as far as possible any deformation of said structure of in order to prevent said charges against possible falls.

  In particular, the load disposed on said shelf tends to cause a deformation of the lateral uprights generally outwardly and may cause disinsertion of the shelves of their slides and a fall thereof and / or elements disposed thereon.

  To avoid these disadvantages, solutions to strengthen the structure of said cabinet have been proposed.

  One solution is to design the vertical uprights of said cabinet in a sufficiently thick and resistant material to withstand, without significant deformations, the mechanical stresses due to the loads arranged on the sliding shelves.

  This arrangement generates relatively high costs and an increase in the general mass of the cabinet.

  In particular, when producing the cabinet in kit form whose assembly is entrusted to the user, such an increase in the mass of said cabinet and its cost is unacceptable to a good commercial power.

  It is possible to envisage the use of reinforcing structures, in particular with fixed intermediate plates arranged between the uprights and the number of which varies according to the height of said uprights.

  However these devices are binding especially during the manufacture and assembly of said cabinet.

  In addition, the space generated by these devices considerably reduces the available storage space within said cabinet.

  The invention aims, above all, to provide a storage cabinet of the type defined above which no longer has, or if necessary to a lesser degree, the disadvantages mentioned above.

  In particular, the invention aims to provide a cabinet as light as possible while remaining able to support the loads without significant deformation of its amounts.

  The invention therefore relates to such a storage cabinet to prevent deformation due to mechanical stresses and allowing the largest possible storage space while maintaining the mass of said cabinet in a current range and not changing the lines conventional production of the constituent elements of said cabinet and its cost of production.

  For this purpose, a storage cabinet, according to the invention, of the type defined above is characterized in that said lateral uprights are made of thin sheet metal and in that at least one stiffener of adjustable length is provided close to the face front open, extending perpendicularly to the plans of said vertical uprights and held against each of the outer faces of said uprights to oppose the deformation of said amounts due to the load and allow easy and secure sliding of the shelves.

  Advantageously, the notches of each series located on the side of the front face of said cabinet have a shape for receiving the projection of a slide and below the ends of said stiffener.

  This form may, for example be that of a T. Alternatively, a hole is provided below the notch to receive the ends of said stiffener.

  This particular arrangement of the stiffener just below the shelf, preferably at a distance of less than two cm, leaves a maximum of free space for accessing the interior of the cabinet.

  In the particular case of a T-shaped notch, or of equivalent shape, a single cut, obtained for example by stamping, is necessary during the production of said vertical uprights.

  In an alternative embodiment of the cabinet according to the invention, it also comprises shelves arranged fixed in said cabinet by means of two pairs of projections each formed on one side of said shelf and coinciding with a pair of said notches .

  Any shelves arranged fixed therefore use the same notches as those provided for the slides.

  Advantageously, a stiffener is also disposed under each of said shelves of the cabinet according to the invention.

  Preferably, all the elements constituting the cabinet according to the invention is metallic.

  Alternatively, said shelves and / or said shelves of the cabinet according to the invention are made of wood.

  Preferably, said stiffener of the cabinet according to the invention consists of a metal rod.

  This rod can be bent at one of its ends to bear on said outer face of one of said vertical uprights and threaded at the other end so that a nut ensures the locking of said stiffener.

  Preferably, a metal rod having a circular cross section with a diameter of about three or four millimeters will be chosen as a stiffener for the cabinet according to the invention.

  Advantageously, the sheets used to make the lateral uprights consist of aluzinc 10/10 or any other material.

  Preferably, said reinforcing means of the cabinet according to the invention are arranged in braces.

  For example, two simple bars arranged in a cross may constitute the rear face of the cabinet according to the invention and play the role of reinforcing means of the cabinet structure.

  The cabinet according to the invention can be used as a versatile storage cabinet, storage cabinet for bottles or aging wine cellar or service.

  By way of non-limiting example, the cabinet according to the present invention can be used as a wine cellar.

  Such a wine cellar may have a capacity of about 200 bottles distributed on the various shelves and or fixed shelves.

  The advantages provided by the cabinet of the invention are particularly interesting in this use since the cabinet provides ease of storage, great maneuverability and also increased security thus avoiding falling wine bottles.

  Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the description given below, with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate an embodiment having no limiting character.

  In the figures, it is found that the storage cabinet according to the invention comprises two vertical side uprights parallel and spaced 1 and 2 provided with two series R, F notches 3, 4 superimposed vertically. At each notch 3 substantially corresponds on the same horizontal level a notch 4. A horizontal pair 5 is thus formed.

  The notches 3 of the R series are located towards the back of the cabinet and have a standard shape (square, round, rectangle ...).

  The notches 4 of the F series are located towards the front of the cabinet.

  Upper and lower retaining means 6 spaced apart from the uprights 1 and 2 are arranged at the vertical high and low ends of the uprights 1 and 2 and are attached to the latter by the notches 3 and 4 These means are typically sheets of the same type as that constituting the vertical uprights 1 and 2 or any fixed shelves that could be arranged in the cabinet according to the invention.

  Two reinforcement bars 8 and 9 are arranged as the bottom of the cabinet according to the present invention. These are more visible in Figure 2. They are arranged in a cross on the rear face of the cabinet and constitute a means for maintaining the spacing between said vertical uprights 1 and 2.

  The front of the cabinet remains open.

  Several shelves 10, two in the example shown in the drawings, are disposed inside said cabinet.

  These shelves 10 are adapted to slide forward on a slide device 11 and 12 disposed on the internal faces of said lateral uprights 1 and 2.

  Said slides 11 and 12 are adjustable in height by the cooperation of a pair of protrusions or lugs A1, A2 engaged in a pair of notches.

  It is thus possible to move upwards or downwards said slides 11 and 12 and by incidence the corresponding shelves 10 so as to adjust the space between the shelves to the volume of the elements likely to be arranged there.

  Under each of said shelves 10 (or any fixed shelves not shown), is disposed a stiffener 13 of length adaptable to the space between the vertical uprights 1 and 2. Preferably, the vertical distance between the underside of the shelf 10 and the stiffener 13 is less than two centimeters.

  Said stiffener 13 is here typically made of a metal rod bent at one of its ends 13a (FIG 6) to bear against said outer face of one of said vertical uprights 1 and 2 and threaded at the other end 13b so that a nut ensures the locking of said stiffener.

  Typically, said metal rod has a circular section with a diameter of about three or four millimeters.

  Each stiffener 13 extends horizontally and is perpendicular to the parallel planes of the lateral uprights 1, 2.

  The notches 4 have a shape that allows to receive the lateral projection A2 of a slide 11, 12 and below, an end 13a, 13b of the stiffener 13. This shape may, for example, be T as shown in the figures .

  Each of the ends 13a, 13b of the stiffening rods is disposed at the narrow base of the T-shape while the projection A2 is received in the transverse upper portion.

  Alternatively, each of the ends 13a, 13b of said stiffener 13 could be received in a hole, distinct from the notch 4, located below the latter.

  Said lateral uprights 1 and 2 are made of thin sheets, typically aluzinc 10/10 or any other material.

  Similarly all the components of the cabinet is made of the same material.

  Alternatively, shelves 10 may be made of wood as well as any fixed shelves (not shown).

  Finally, all the components of the cabinet 5 can be made of wood or wood and metal.

Claims (1)

9 CLAIMS   1. Storage cabinet comprising: - two lateral uprights (1, 2) vertical, parallel and spaced, provided with at least two series (R, F) notches (3, 4) superimposed vertically and spaced longitudinally; upper (6) and lower (7) holding means spaced apart from the uprights (1, 2); - Reinforcing means (8, 9) disposed on the rear face of said cabinet, the front face remaining open; and - at least one shelf (10) adapted to slide forward on a slide device (11, 12) arranged on the internal faces of said lateral uprights (1, 2), each slide (11, 12) being adjustable in height by the cooperation of a pair of projections (Al, A2) coinciding with a horizontal pair (5) of said notches, characterized in that said vertical uprights (1, 2) are made of thin sheet and in that at least a stiffener (13) of adjustable length is provided, close to the open front face, extending perpendicular to the planes of said vertical uprights (1, 2) and held against each of the outer faces of said uprights (1, 2) for s oppose the deformation of said uprights (1, 2) due to the load and allow easy and secure sliding of the shelves (10).   2. Cabinet according to claim 1, characterized in that the notches (4) of each series (F) located on the side of the front face of said cabinet have a shape for receiving the projection (A2) of a slide (11). 12) and below the ends (13a, 13b) of said stiffener (13).   3. Cabinet according to claim 2, characterized in that the shape of said notch (4) is a T to have at the base thereof the ends (13a, 13b) of said stiffener (13).   4. Cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said stiffener (13) consists of a metal rod of circular section with a diameter of three or four millimeters approximately, bent to the one of its ends (13a) to bear against said outer face of one of said vertical uprights (1, 2) and threaded at the other end (13b) so that a nut locks said stiffener ( 13).   5. Cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 10 4, characterized in that the sheets used consist of aluzinc 10/10.   6. Cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it also comprises shelves arranged fixed in said cabinet through two pairs of projections each formed on one side of said shelf and coinciding with a pair (5) of said notches.   7. Cabinet according to claim 6, characterized in that a stiffener {13) is also disposed under each of said shelves.   8. Cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that all the elements constituting it is metallic.   9. Cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that said shelves (10) and / or said shelves are wood.   10. Use of the cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 9 as a versatile storage cabinet, storage cabinet for bottles or wine cellar aging or service.
