Abstract

A communication method called TCHATE operating with a head server that provides transmission and distribution of texts to users connected in a network. The invention relates to a method for communicating by TCHATE with interlocutors of different languages by eliminating the language barrier. thanks to automatic translators. It consists of a server (1), a client software (2) and a website (3) set to manage the different languages of users to submit modules (4) translation of the texts with their sense of translation and the appropriate languages. The invention is intended to communicate via the internet for direct chatting in its original language with interlocutors of different languages.

Description

The present invention relates to a computer communication method

by computer to exchange texts instantaneously between several computers connected to a network such as

formed by internet. This means is called a "chat" and works with a "chat" server that ensures transmission and distribution of texts. The principle of use is to write a text in a field on a website or in a client software and then to validate its text which is immediately displayed in the window of the correspondent (s).

The major interest for the use of these "cats" is that they allow to eliminate the distances it is the same to talk to a correspondent in the same room with a user at the other end of the world for little that everyone is connected to the Internet.

The problem is that each speaker needs to speak a common language, which is rarely the case, and poses a problem to the usefulness of these systems, which are especially useful for communicating about important removals, such as from one country to another. other and therefore mainly from one language to another.

There are software and websites for automatic translations and some users take the time to submit the texts they do not understand to these translators to have a translation but the manipulation is long, tedious and especially contrary to the function instantaneous "chat".

It is the object of the invention to solve this problem by allowing the system to translate texts typed by users directly before sending them to the recipients a language selection system for defining the translation meanings.

The system uses the speakers' original languages for their essays, and passes these texts to the filter of an automatic translator for distribution to the recipients in their respective languages.

The result is that each user writes original texts in his own language and reads translated texts for him also in his language. 30

The impression obtained is to speak to someone who understands and who writes his own language then, that this person in reality can speak and write any other language.

For the system to work it must be added the chosen language information to the information normally necessary for the operation of the "chat" and managed by the "chat" server for each speaker on the system. Thus each user is referenced by the server and this reference is used in a database to know if the server must send him the message that he is processing.

Indeed, to each message that the server receives from a user, the server checks its list of users to know which he will send this message.

On a system with translation the server has for each message it receives a series of translations in all languages. When he finds a user to send the text he takes the information of his writing language to choose the translation of the corresponding text. The user receives the text that his correspondent has written but in the language he has chosen to write his messages. Another user participating in the same chat forum but writing in another language other than the editor and the first receiver receives a third version of this text also in its writing language which may be different from those of the other two users.

A system of direct written communication between several people with computers connected to a network commonly called "chat", can gain conviviality if the texts exchanged are translated live as soon as they are written in the language defined by each user, the function of the user. invention being the distribution of texts according to a pattern inherited languages chosen or deduced for each user and its application producing a means of communication transparent, direct and instant between individuals of all languages in all places.

At the entrance to the "chat" there is a choice of several languages that the user can choose, indicating in which language he wants to write, which gives two useful information to a translation that is, the language in which to translate all the text he receives will be called the language of arrival for this user, the other information is the language from which to translate his text before sending them to other users their languages of arrival being defined in the same way by their own choice of writing language.

The translation system can be external to the system as a website offering multilingual translations online, the "chat" of the server is reduced to its function of "chat" supplemented with a role of "dispatching" texts to the translator with the addition of translation direction information, necessary passwords and the formatting of this information for the on-line translator, the waiting for the response being ensured with a buffering of the following texts, the filtering of the result when the response is made to derive only the expected translation before returning the filtered text to the recipients.

The "chat" server has a particular function able to communicate with translators whether on the computer hosting the server or on another machine connected to the network such as an online translation website, this allowing the designer to choose the best translation tools and that for all the meanings of translations even for the translation between only two languages, two servers that can each serve for a different meaning with regard to the results obtained.

The invention is a "cat", characterized in that it translates the texts written by the users in order to "dispatcher" them in the right languages to the users, according to their writing languages.

The elements normally constituting a "chat" which are the "chat" server (1), the client software (2) and the website (3), have a management of the users' languages making it possible to determine for each user the language in which he writes his texts.

A website (3) for "chatting" on the internet includes a selection of languages to choose at its entrance where the user indicates which language he will use to write his texts and in which language it will translate the texts of his interlocutors. 15

The client software (2) for "chatting" comprises a configuration in the form of linguistic preference to determine which language the user will use to write his texts and in which language it will be necessary to translate the texts of his interlocutors.

The "chat" server processes the texts it receives according to the languages of the users.

The "chat" server assigns a source language to each of the texts it receives, this language being associated in its database or memory with the user who sent the text or sent as a parameter by the client software or the website is based on whether the user is using one or the other.

The "chat" server assigns an arrival language for any text that it must send to a user that language being associated in its database or memory to the recipient user.

The "chat" server uses one or more automatic translation modules (4) to which it passes in parameters the elements necessary for its operation.

The translation modules (4) used to translate the texts can be independent Internet sites offering online translations, the chat server then has the necessary functions of online data transmissions such as the submission of passwords and formatting filtering queries and results.
