Abstract

The process uses hopper (3) fed with polymer granules from drier; system for heating, moving and applying pressure to polymer, e.g. in form of heated auger (2); and shaper for molten polymer. It includes localized injection of preheated inert gas (nitrogen), preferably at temperature of 170-250 [deg]0C at drier, hopper and/or after hopper. The gas is injected at a rate of 5-20 m 3>/hour.
