Abstract

The seat has a lower plate (1) equipped with two hooks (2,3) for fixing two fixed anchoring points of an origin on a vehicle. An upper plate (4) is connected with a seat part. A link between the upper and lower plates permits a horizontal rotation of the seat and blocks the upper plate in a position. The upper plate is activated by handles (6,7) placed at right and left sides of the seat.

Description

This invention relates to a device allowing a person to be able to sit his child more simply in his car seat.
On an ordinary seat we place the child while trying not to bump him against the amount of the car.
For a person who sits his child in the car seat it is not so simple, as much to seat him as to position him in his seat as well as possible, that is why I imagined this system. The car seat has a rotation system, this system consists of two plates:
* The lower plate (the one which is in contact with the vehicle seat and which supports the entire car seat) is fitted with two metal hooks which are fixed to the isofix anchoring point (trademark registered by the BRITAX company) located between the backrest and the rear seat bench of vehicles fitted with it. This tray has guide grooves. These grooves have been calculated in such a way that the seat does not exceed 90 [deg] to the right or to the left. The center groove is used for supporting and advancing the seat as well as for its rotation in abutment.
* The upper plate is maintained by a security system at the level of the 2 anchoring hooks and the seat is fixed on this plate.
The lower plate held by the 2 hooks remains fixed while the upper plate, it will play an important role in the manipulation of the seat.
Operation:
The car seat is located facing the road (like any car seat), however, by exerting pressure on a handle located on the car seat (for example on the front or on the sides) the upper plate would move forward (thanks to grooves located on the lower plate) of a few centimeters by deactivating its security and is automatically fixed by a ball or a locking pin. By exerting additional pressure on the handle, the upper plate is released from its automatic locking and can finally turn. While helping it to turn and then releasing the handle, the seat locks again, facing the person. The lower plate remains stationary and well fixed on the Isofix system. There are three grooves: two semi-circular and one straight, they are used to hold, advance and rotate the seat Once the upper plate has advanced, we can easily turn the seat on it -same (thanks to the semi-circular grooves) to the right or to the left (it all depends on where we are in relation to the car) in order to be able to seat the child. The child is then facing you, well seated in his seat.
Once the child is securely fastened on the seat with the belts that are adapted to it, the seat must be put back facing the road.
Then, by pressing again on the handle which allowed us to unlock the seat, this time, we must bring back with a dry gesture the seat to its original fixing, in order to allow the plate which supports it to reset itself to its security system.
From that moment, the seat is fixed and can not move.
The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 represents the device according to the invention in isometric view Figure 2 represents the device in bottom view Figure 3 represents the lower plate with the grooves Figure 4 represents the ISOFIX fixing system of the BRITAX brand With reference to these drawings, this car seat is made up of two plates (1) and (4). On the lower plate (1), are located grooves (9) allowing the maintenance, the advancement and the rotation of the seat (5) which is fixed on the upper plate (4). By exerting a pressure on the handles (6 ) and (7), the car seat moves forward following the grooves and rotates on itself which allows the child to be installed while having the car seat facing either. Once the child is installed, simply redo pressing the handles (6) and (7) to return the upper plate (4) to the road position.
