Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système de réduction des zones mortes dans un système de télécommunication mobile de troisième génération (UMTS). Lorsqu'une station mobile (MS) en communication avec une station de base (BS1) de service engendre une zone morte sur au moins une lien montante d'une station de base (BS2) voisine, on détermine, selon l'invention, des critères basés sur des paramètres sur le(s) lien(s) montant et/ou descendant entre la station mobile (MS) et la station de base (BS1) qui, s'ils ne sont pas respectés pour le(s) lien(s) montant et/ou descendant, déclenchent une interruption de liaison radio dans la station mobile (MS). Lorsque la puissance émise sur le lien montant devient nulle, la dégradation de la couverture radio de la cellule associée à la station de base (BS2) voisine due à la station mobile (MS) disparaît.
