Abstract
The filter comprises a number of folded half wavelength lines (lambda/2) arranged successively head-to-tail and coupled together. The lines (L1 - Ln) have an overall V-shape, with the branches of the V being symmetrical, and each having a staircase configuration. The branch of on V is adjacent to the branch of the next inverted V, with a spacing of less than 100psim. The lines are super-conducting. The hyperfrequency pass-band filter with a wide band comprises a number of folded half wavelength lines (lambda/2) arranged successively head-to-tail and coupled together. The lines (L1 - Ln) have a shape which is approximately a V whose two branches are symmetric with respect to an axis of symmetry. Each branch comprises two sections of equal length which are parallel to the axis of symmetry but offset with respect to each other, and a middle section lying perpendicular to the axis of symmetry and joining the two parallel branches. A further section perpendicular to the axis of symmetry joins together the two symmetrical branches. The branches are made of super-conducting material. The section joining the two branches is preferably twice the length of the section linking the two parallel sections. The distance between adjacent lines is less than approximately 100mu for a filter operating with a central frequency lying between 3 and 20GHz.
