Abstract

The automatic message (MSSG) transmission process across a communications network from a control centre (CTRL) detects control centre communications requests (RQTCOMM).   TRANSMISSION TRIGGERED BY A RECIPIENT ACTION, AND APPLICATION.

  The invention relates, in general, to techniques for transmitting messages over communication networks such as telephone networks or

computer networks.

  More specifically, the invention relates, according to a first of its aspects, to a method of automatic transmission of messages through a communication network from a control center belonging to the network and to wanted recipients selected from a set of potential recipients each of whom is at least selectively linked to the control center through the network by a station with bidirectional communication capacity and identified in this

  network by its own identification number.

  Sending messages, for example in the context of recovery, information or solicitation campaigns to targeted recipients, is an operation that is both complex and costly in terms of communication time and in terms of human or material resources.

  The invention, which is based on the observation of this fact, aims precisely to propose a new form of automatic messaging, offering an operational efficiency greater than that of known techniques.

  To this end, the method of the invention, moreover in accordance with the generic definition given in the preamble above, is essentially characterized in that it comprises the steps consisting in: - detecting or receiving, at the center of control, communication requests sent from the stations of potential recipients; note, for each communication request detected or received, the identification number of the station from which this request was issued; search, in a file containing the identification numbers of the stations of the intended recipients and formed by files, each of which relates to a desired recipient, a file containing the identified identification number, and find this file if it exists; and transmit through the network, from the control center, a message addressed to each recipient sought whose extension identification number has

was found in the file.

  In the case where the control center is managed by an operator of the communication network, for example by a telephone network operator, and o the communication request sent is addressed to an end receiver other than the control center itself, the method can advantageously comprise an operation consisting in intercepting the communication request sent by each station whose number has been found in the file of identification numbers of the

  To give the present description as concrete a presentation as possible, the invention will be described below in its application to the monitoring and / or settlement of unpaid invoices, which constitutes a preferred application, although not

limiting, of the invention.

  Likewise, the invention will be described in the preferred but non-limiting context of the use of a telephone network as a communication network, any other network provided with bidirectional communication capacity and controllable by

  computer is however also usable.

  To date, the process used by suppliers of goods or services to remind their customers of late payment of their invoices is very largely manual.

  Given the scale of the phenomenon, this process requires the mobilization of

  very important human resources at all levels.

  When a customer does not pay his invoice within the contractual deadlines, the current approach generally consists in sending him a reminder letter, without certainty that the

  client receives it, read it, or take it into account.

  If the customer still does not pay after presumed receipt of this reminder letter, it must be treated piecemeal by the collection services of the supplier, who

  may decide to take action on the client's account.

  However, this process, although quite cumbersome, is far from satisfactory in the sense that: a) Errors may have been made from the outset by entering a wrong customer address; b) The invoice, although correctly worded, may not have been received by the client; c) The customer may have got into the habit of paying slightly late, to take care of his cash flow; d) The customer may have decided not to pay; e) It is possible that the customer is preparing to dispute the validity of his previous invoice, and uses this process to defer his payment; 20 f) The client may have been indebted by careless overconsumption and

  encountered cash flow difficulties.

  To circumvent these difficulties or mitigate their effects, the invention proposes a system making it possible to systematically relaunch any customer in arrears, to automatically monitor unpaid or overconsumption, by regular scanning of the information databases containing the situation of customer accounts, and, once the debtor customers identified, to notify them automatically by a message imposed during a telephone call on their part or even, in the case 30 when the reminder is made by the operator of the telephone network, the instant they

  In practice, any supplier of goods or services has a database such as the LIST list in Figure 5, in which the DESTPOT customers of this supplier are listed, with at least their telephone number NUM_IDENT, and their accounting situation. , for example succinctly reflected by the invoice numbers issued for these customers, the payment due date of

  This database, which is continuously updated on a central ORDI computer (Figure 1) to take into account both newly issued invoices and newly recorded payments, reflects as closely as possible the situation in which each customer finds himself. DESTPOT with regard to this 10 supplier.

  Other standards could be used, such as the average consumption over a given period, any customer exceeding this average being in a situation potentially opening the risk of an inability to settle the contracted debt. The DEST_RECH customers to be contacted being in this case those who are an exception to the pre-established standard, they should be identified among all of the

DEST_POT customers.

  To do this, a CODSEL selection code is assigned to each DESTPOT client in the LIST list, this code taking, in the example of Figure 5, the value "" if the client concerned is in good standing with the accounting plan with the supplier. , and the

  For greater ease of use, the F files forming the PFF file are for example sorted and classified in ascending order of NUMIDENT telephone coordinates, and the PFF file is made accessible on a computer server.

  As previously announced, the method of the invention aims to allow the automatic transmission of messages through the communication network constituted by a telephone network in the particular example chosen, from a CTRL control center which is connected in this network, and towards the intended recipients DEST_RECH who have been selected from among all of the potential recipients DESI_POT constituted, in the example chosen, by

  debtor customers of a product or service provider.

  By assumption, each potential DESTPOT recipient has a TEL communication terminal or terminal, in this case a fixed telephone or

  portable in the particular example chosen, which is identified in the network by its own NUMIDENT identification number, in this case the telephone number, and by which this DESTPOT recipient can establish two-way communication with the CTRL control across the network.

  As shown in FIG. 1, the CTRL control center involved in the implementation of this method typically comprises, in addition to the IT server SERVINF already mentioned, and possibly the central computer ORDI, a PABX AUTOCOMM and a voice server SERVVOC.

  The automatic switch AUTOCOMM, which constitutes an addressable node of the communication network, is intrinsically capable of reading the telephone number NUMIDENT of each individual TEL station capable of emitting a request for communication RQLCOMM.

  In the first possible case, the RQLCOMM communication request concerned can be constituted by a request explicitly addressed to this AUTOCOMM PABX, which is the case when a DESTPOT 25 customer calls one of his suppliers by dialing his telephone number.

  However, the RQLCOMM communication request concerned can also be constituted by a request which simply passes through the PABX AUTOCOMM, which is the case when a subscriber to the DEST-POT telephone calls any correspondent.

  In the latter case, the RQTLCOMM communication request is constituted as soon as the TEL set requires connection to the network, that is to say as soon as the handset of this set is off the hook, the AUTOCOMM automatic branch exchange then belonging to the operator of the network and being the one serving the area to which the substation belongs

  In all cases, the PABX AUTOCOMM, when it detects or receives a 5 RQTCOMM communication request sent from the TEL extension of a potential recipient DEST_POT, reads the telephone number NUM_IDENT

  Upon receipt of the telephone number NUM_IDENT noted, the computer server SERV_INF searches, in the file FFF, for the possible existence of a file F containing this number NUM_IDENT and finds it if it exists.

  The fact for the SERV_INF computer server to find in the FFF file an F file containing the NUM_IDENT number noted by the PABX AUTOCOMM indicates that the sender of the communication request 20 RQTCOMM detected or received by this PABX is not simple DEST_POT potential recipient of a message, but is actually a person to whom an MSSG message should actually be addressed, i.e. a recipient
