Abstract

The melon stem trimmer, mounted on a tractor three-point hitching system (1), has a pair of cutting discs (2) that can be adjusted for heihght and width by power cylinders (3, 4). It can also apply fertilisers to points behind the discs from containers (5) with electrically-operated and gravity feeders, and has a unit (7) with a pump (10) to deliver disinfectant to the discs through nozzles (11).
