Abstract

The decorative element, consisting of a substrate of a synthetic material with its inner face making contact with part of a vehicle, has at least one of its outer faces covered with a layer of a translucent material that deflects light trays penetrating the element. The substrate can have a grained surface or can contain reflective particles of metal or mother of pearl, and at least one of the outer layers can carry a geometrical ornamental motif.
