La présente invention concerne un dispositif de scellement du boîtier d'éléments galvaniques, de manière étanche aux gaz et aux liquides, ayant la forme d'une pile plate mince, par soudage aux ultra-sons de couches de matière plastique des composants du boîtier, ce dispositif comportant une enclume servant d'appui aux pièces à relier et en regard de cette enclume, une sonotrode servant à réaliser le soudage aux ultrasons.
Les éléments galvaniques sous la forme de piles minces et plates sont connus par exemple selon le document EP 862 227 Al. De telles cellules comportent une électrode positive et une électrode négative avec interposition de séparateurs par exemple entre deux films de matière plastique servant de composants de boîtier, et qu'il faut réunir de manière étanche aux gaz et aux liquides. Les films formant les parties de boîtier peuvent également être des films de matière plastique métallisée ou des films métalliques, par exemple des films de cuivre revêtus au niveau de leurs zones tournées vers l'intérieur de la pile, d'une matière plastique que l'on soude après l'assemblage.
Pour relier ces parties ou composants de boîtier, on utilise souvent un procédé de soudage. Selon ce procédé, on bloque les composants sur une enclume alignée par rapport à une sonotrode et ensuite on assemble par soudage aux ultrasons.
La présente invention a pour but de permettre ce soudage aux utra-sons de manière fiable même pour des éléments galvaniques très minces.
A cet effet, l'invention concerne un dispositif du type défini ci-dessus, caractérisé en ce que la surface de la sonotrode ou de l'enclume comporte dans la zone de scellement un bossage entourée par une surface plane.
La présente invention sera décrite ci-après de manière plus détaillée à l'aide d'un exemple de réalisation représenté dans les dessins annexés, dans lesquels : - la figure 1 est une section d'un dispositif comportant une sonotrode classique, - la figure 2 montre un dispositif avec une seule sonotrode selon l'invention.
Les dispositifs connus utilisés pour souder des films de matière plastique se composent d'une enclume 1 et d'une sonotrode 2 en regard de l'enclume. L'objet à souder se compose d'un film de scellement

3, inférieur et d'un film de scellement 4 supérieur. Pendant l'opération de soudage on presse la sonotrode 2, arrondie contre le film supérieur 4 et on soude au film inférieur 3 en faisant agir en même temps des ultrasons. Le foyer d'énergie qui fait fondre la matière du film porte la référence 9. Il se produit ainsi un flux de matière fondue 5 s'écartant de la sonotrode. Ce flux forme un bourrelet 6 par accumulation. Ce bourrelet modifie le contour extérieur du film en formant une partie relevée. Or, pour certaines applications, ce bourrelet n'est pas souhaitable.
Selon l'invention, la sonotrode 2 représentée à la figure 2 comporte un contour 7 relevé en son milieu et qui est entouré par un contour plan 8. L'augmentation de hauteur fonctionne comme élément directeur d'énergie, si bien que l'énergie des ultra-sons agit de manière précise seulement au niveau de la ligne périphérique. Le foyer d'énergie 9 ainsi formé fait fondre la matière des films 3,4, en profondeur et produit un refoulement de la matière fondue 5. Ce refoulement de la matière fondue produit en même temps le refoulement de la saleté ou de l'électrolyte qui se trouve à la surface des films de scellement. La matière fondue refoulée 5 forme des deux côtés près du foyer d'énergie 9, des coins en épaisseur ne laissant subsister aucune surface encrassée comme couche de séparation, car la saleté se mélange à la matière fondue. Les surfaces latérales planes 8 à côté du bossage 7, rond, de la sonotrode 2, aplanissent le coin en épaisseur pour ne pas avoir de bourrelet. Il est également possible de prévoir le contour formé du bossage 7 et de la surface plane 8 sur l'enclume 1 et d'avoir une sonotrode plane 2.
Comme le scellement au niveau du foyer d'énergie est fait en profondeur et de manière solide, cela garantit un résultat maximum pour le scellement et ne produit pas de bourrelet en surépaisseur.
Le dispositif selon l'invention permet une fusion précise de pièces très minces comme par exemple le scellement de piles plates de lithium, prévues pour des cartes à puces électroniques et qui ont par exemple une épaisseur de seulement 0,4 mm.

REVENDICATION Dispositif de scellement du boîtier d'éléments galvaniques, de manière étanche aux gaz et aux liquides, ayant la forme d'une pile plate mince, par soudage aux ultra-sons de couches de matière plastique des composants du boîtier, ce dispositif comportant une enclume servant d'appui aux pièces à relier et en regard de cette enclume, une sonotrode servant à réaliser le soudage aux ultra-sons, caractérisé en ce que la surface de la sonotrode (2) ou de l'enclume (1) comporte dans la zone de scellement un bossage (7) entourée par une surface plane (8).
