Abstract

  The invention relates to a machine for cleaning filiform elements

  coated with a harmful material such as asbestos.

  Asbestos is a toxic material that has been used widely.

  From now on, it is necessary, before a building is destroyed or the building rehabilitated, to clean the buildings with a view to

to remove the asbestos.

  To clean the walls, operators use a scraper which, sometimes combined with suction, allows the layer of asbestos to be removed relatively easily. By cons, for cables, this scraping operation is not economically possible due to the time that would be necessary for the operator. So far, during cleaning operations, these cables are purely and simply placed in containers to be stored as

if it was asbestos alone.

TO CLAIMS   1. Machine for cleaning filiform elements coated with a harmful material such as asbestos CHARACTERIZED in that it comprises: - a storage tank (3) connected by suction (4) to a box (5) in which passes through the elongated element - in the box, on either side, of the path of the elongated element, a brush (6) with flexible bristles without electrostatic effect, - still in the box and downstream of the brushes, a medium (7) motor for move the slender element.   2. Machine according to claim 1 characterized in that the bristles (6A) of the brushes are long so that the bristles of the brushes disposed opposite overlap. 3. Machine according to claim 1 characterized in that the drive of the brushes is achieved by a motor (8), which comprises means (8A) for vary the speed.   4. Machine according to claim 1 characterized in that the means (7) for moving the filiform element is constituted by two rollers (7A) motors arranged opposite, which are by means (7B) of elastic application   maintained in abutment on the filiform element.   5. Machine according to claim 4 characterized in that the rollers (7A) are each carried by an arm (7C) lever articulated at its end on an axis. 6. Machine according to claim 4 characterized in that a spring connects   the two lever arms so as to bring the rollers together.   7. Machine according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises, at the outlet, a box (15) for the puiserization of a fixer bonding any fibers. 8.
