Abstract

The press comprises a frame (1), a compression box (3), a drum (2) and a cam (4) on a shaft (13) supported by the frame. The cam drives a to and fro movement of the compression box relative to the drum by acting on a lower roller (33) fixed in translation on the compression box lateral surfaces. The cam is located between the lower roller and an upper roller (52) which can translate. The upper roller is carried by the compression box and supported against the cam perimeter by the action of an actuator (56) mounted on the compression box.
