Abstract

An installation for the chemical treatment of metal components by immersion in a tank (9, 11) containing a chemical treatment bath, the components being submitted to a prior preparation treatment and a finishing treatment in other tanks, consists of the different treatment tanks being arranged in two parallel lines separated by an alley (3) allowing access to the tanks. A first line (1) incorporates a charging/discharging device (4) at one of its ends along with the preparation tanks (5 - 8, 10) whilst a second line (2) incorporates two chemical treatment tanks (9, 11), functioning alternately, and some finishing tanks (14 - 18). A longitudinal transfer manipulator is provided for each line and a transverse transfer device is provided to connect the two lines.
