Abstract

The box, made from corrugated cardboard or similar sheet material, uses a single panel cut and folded on a machine with a shaping jig to give it a rectangular shape with two main sides (8), two end walls (2), and cut-off corners making eight sides in all. Flaps (10.2, 10.3, 11.2, 11.3) at the ends of the panels are folded inwards to form a top and base, and the edges of the panel are glued together at one of the narrow corner sides.
