Abstract

The implant comprises friction-resistant structure of pyrocarbon chip permitting flexing, extending and rotation movements . The implant (100) is positioned between two vertebrae (1, 2), in such way as to interact with at least one of them. It consists of base (110) comprising part (111) fixing the implant to lower vertebra (1) and plate (112) supporting a chip (120) made of pyrocarbon and interacting by friction with upper vertebra (2). The plate (112) is provided with external collar (112d) surrounding the chip (120). The plate (112) comprises a hollow (112a) of a shape complementary to that of chip (120), which is forced into this hollow to form one single piece with the base (110). The hollow (112a) has central opening (112b), engaging anchoring bit of chip (120). The implant has polished convex face (121) in contact with vertebral plate (2a) of upper vertebra (2). The fixing part (111) of base (110) is provided with two through-orifices for mounting two anchoring bolts in the body (1b) of lower vertebra (1). The baseplate (112) has, on its face turned toward the lower vertebra (1), projections anchoring it to the vertebral plate (1a) of lower vertebra (1). The plate (112) and fixing part (111) of base (110) are oriented at angle approximate 100 deg to each other and are joined by rounded joining section (110a). The base (110) is preferably made of titanium alloy and the faces of implant in contact with vertebrae have preferably surface coating of hydroxyapatite type, or of porous titanium, or of other ostheo-conductor or conductor material.

Implant selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce ledit plateau (112) de l'embase (110) comporte un logement (112a) de forme complémentaire à celle de ladite pastille (120) et dans lequel cette dernière est montee à force pour former avec l'embase (110) une seule pièce. Implant selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce le logement (112a) dudit plateau (112) comprend un orifice central (112b) dans lequel est engagé un téton d'ancrage porté par ladite pastille (120). Implant selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérise en ce en ce qu'il présente une face bombée polie (121) en contact avec le plateau vertébral (2a) de la vertebre supérieure (2). Implant selon l'une des revendications 2 à 5, caractérise en ce que la patte de fixation (111) de l'embase (110) est pourvue de deux orifices traversants pour le montage de deux vis d'ancrage dans le corps vertébral (1b) la vertèbre inférieure (1). Implant selon l'une des revendications 2 à 6, caractérisé ce que le plateau 12) de l'embase comprend sur sa face tournée vers la vertèbre inférieure (1) des saillies en virgule (113) destinés à s'ancrer dans le plateau vertébral (1a) de ladite vertèbre inférieure (1). Implant selon l'une des revendications 2 à 7, caractérise en ce que le plateau 12) et la patte de fixation (111) de l'embase (110) sont orientés l'un par rapport a environ 100 degrés et sont raccordés par une partie raccordement arrondie Oa).
