Abstract

The protective case for a cheese label card has a viewing window (1) connected by a hinge (4) to a cover (2). The cover (2) has a seating (3) to receive the card and can slide into the casing. The card holder is supported on a panel of casein by two bars (5) or is held under a layer of cheese by four hooks.

Description

-1 The present invention relates to a device for protecting a

  identification label allowing excellent visibility, when making cooked pressed cheeses such as Emmental or appellations of origin

  like Comté or Beaufort for example.

  Currently traceability by affixing an identification label is very

difficult to achieve.

  Indeed, the manufacture and its refining can last in the cellar from several weeks to several months, the label undergoes hygrometric conditions and harsh temperatures, as well as friction due to manual or mechanical brushing during salting with l brine, quickly becoming

  unusable by its illegibility or its disappearance.

  The device according to the invention pennrmet to remedy this drawback. It in fact comprises a housing made up particularly of: - a transparent window (1) 1 5 - a cover (2) provided with a hinge (4) connecting it to the window - on the cover (2) figure a place (3) to stick a label

  identification, barcode label, for example.

  The operating mode is as follows: - we stick the label on its location (3) provided on the cover (2) - we fold the cover (2) using the hinge (4) towards the window (1) - the cover (2) is fitted into the window frame (1), by pressing

  thumb for example, ensuring sealing.

  The device is composed at the back of two bars (5) allowing to slide an identification plate specific to the name of the cheese, such as for example a casein plate of red color for Emrmental or of green color for Comté or any other casein plate not bearing any particular indication. This plate placed on the heel of the cheese adheres perfectly from the start of the crust formation and will thus maintain the

  device protecting the label.

  By way of nonlimiting example, the device will have dimensions of the order of 1 o 5.5 cm for the width and 6 cm for the height and from 2 to 5 mmin for the thickness, and

  may be of any other geometric shape.

  The device can be produced in one piece by plastic molding

  like polypropylene by injection for example.

  The production of this device is not limited in the nature of the material nor by its manufacturing process. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to protect a

  cheese identification label during ripening.

Claims (2)

CLAIMS - Device for protecting an identification label characterized in that it comprises a case having a window (1) connected by a hinge (4) to a cover (2). - The cover (2) has a location (3) to receive an identification label. - The cover (2) provided with its label folds down on the window frame (1) by fitting with a simple pressure ensuring sealing. - The cover (2) embedded in the window (1) reveals the label by transparency.   1 o - The device is equipped with bitter 2 bars (5) penrnettant the sliding of a casein plate.   - Another variant of the device is provided with 4 pins (6) to replace the 2 bars (5).
