Abstract
Preparation of paper with anti-slip properties comprises: (i) conventional preparation of paper in a machine; (ii) pre-drying the paper; (iii) coating both sides with a viscous composition having anti-slip properties while the paper is still warm; and (iv) passing the paper to the post-drying stage. An Independent claim is also included for anti-slip paper prepared using a viscous coating composition (A) that contains starch, capsules of gas trapped in a thermoplastic polymer, ammonia, a latex-based binder, an inhibitor, wax and/or talc and water.
