Abstract

The cardboard described has a coating applied by cast-coating, the side of the cardboard on which the coating is applied having, before application of the coating, a water-absorption capacity, measured by the Cobb sizing test, of 25 to 40 g/m?2 per minute, and the coating consisting of a film-forming synthetic-resin binder and 10 to 60 % by wt., relative to the total binder content, of a natural binder, the remainder being thickening and/or peeling and/or cross-linking agents present in an amount not exceeding 10 % by wt., relative to the total binder content.
