Abstract

The system involves injecting air compressed to the required pressure in the combustion chamber before injection of fuel. The compressed air is obtained by a compressor actuated by a motor and it is stored under high pressure in a chamber. The inlet valve is replaced by a compressed air inlet valve. The piston moves away from the cylinder during the ignition and returns during the exhaust phase. On exiting the high pressure turns the turbines which drives the injector pump, the magneto feeding the spark plugs and the other necessary accessories. The first two phases of suction and compression, are thus suppressed and the piston only follows the ignition and exhaust stroke.
