Abstract

The manual control for a motor vehicle automatic gearbox has a selector lever (2) fixed on an axis (3) itself fixed to a casing (4) extending across the vehicle. The lever can pivot longitudinally on a reduced course longitudinally of the vehicle around its pivot axis. The lever has three positions and is returned to the central position by a spring (5).
