La présente invention concerne un cadre de vélo de type poutre, réalisé à partir de tubes de trois sections différentes. Il permet par sa conception l'usage de la mme bicyclette par des cyclistes de tailles très différentes. Les contraintes techniques selon le mode de fabrication antérieur sont de trois : a) la réalisation des cadres de type poutre (cadre dont la partie avant de direction est reliée à la partie arrière-roue motrice par l'intermédiaire d'une pièce maîtresse continue) est préférable dans son application aux cadres tubulaires traditionnels en raison d'un meilleur rendement dynamique. Or, les cadres de type poutre réalisés antérieurement sont des modèles monobloc interdits pour l'usage en compétition par la réglementation actuelle de l'Union cycliste internationale qui impose la double triangulation du cadre. b) la fabrication de cadres de vélos tubulaires requiert traditionnellement l'emploi de tubes de six sections différentes (douille, tube diagonal, tube de selle et supérieur, bases, haubans, fourreaux). c) traditionnellement et pour des raisons morphologiques, à chaque taille de cycliste correspond une taille de cadre bien précise. Ceci implique la fabrication et le stockage de vingt cadres de taille différente pour couvrir une gamme allant de 46 à 65 cm. De par sa conception, le cadre selon l'invention, entre dans la classification des cadres poutres tout en restant conforme à la réglementation actuelle de l'Union cycliste internationale. Il comporte en effet une géométrie tubulaire à deux triangles. Le triangle avant est formé par le tube diagonal, le tube supérieur et le tube de selle. Le triangle arrière est formé par le tube de selle, les bases et les haubans. Par ailleurs, la présente invention, en n'utilisant que trois sections de tube différentes, permettra une application industrielle de coût réduit. La forme de ce cadre permet l'emploi de tubes plus courts et entraine donc un gain de poids important. Enfin, 1'invention supprime la notion de gamme par la création d'un modèle de taille unique. En effet, le mme cadre, grâce à l'emploi d'une longue tige de selle et d'une potence réglable, assure le positionnement parfait de tous les cyclistes.
