Abstract

The post is composed of a mono bloc metal tubular section (1) of length equal to the post height. The profile is a closed section thus having a continuous structure over its periphery, both internally and externally. The closed section is obtained by putting end to end folded metal sheet and assembling the ends by a longitudinal weld (2). The section is in the shape of a circular arc (11) closed on a wide base (10) the other side of which is formed by a T projection (12). Two longitudinal swages (13) provide structural rigidity.

IMPROVED POST FOR FENCES AND THE LIKE

  The present invention relates to an improved post for fencing and similar applications (for example, trellis posts or palisades). Generally, these posts are made from folded metal sheet. For cost reasons, they must be simple in design, but this solution is of limited interest due to the short useful life of the joining joints which are formed when the sheet metal is folded.

said tail in "T" (12).

Improved post for fences and the like, characterized in that it consists of a tubular profile (1) in one piece of metal, the length of which defines the height of the post and in that said tubular profile is of closed section, thus presenting a continuous structure over its entire peripheral surface, both externally only internally.   2. Improved post for fences and the like according to claim 1, characterized in that said closed section of said one-piece tubular profile (1) is obtained by placing the ends of a folded sheet end to end and then rigidly joining these ends. by welding longitudinal (2).   3. Improved post for fencing and   alike according to any of the claims   1 and 2, characterized in that said one-piece tubular profile (1) has, whatever its section in plan, the shape of a circular arc loop (11) closed on a wide base (10), of the other side of which a "T" -shaped tail (12) is formed projecting externally and in its center from aligned layouts.   4. Improved post for fencing and   alike according to any of the claims   1, 2 and 3, characterized in that said tubular profile (1) comprises two longitudinal stampings (13) in its part in an arc of circle which   confer its structural rigidity.
