Abstract

The tongue scraper consists of a semi-oval bowl (1) with an integral scraper blade (3) and a handle (2) to hold it by. The blade is straight and closes the end of the bowl opposite the handle. It is made from a thin material with a rounded chamfered edge, and is inclined at an angle to the bowl of between 5 and 25 degrees. The back of the bowl is solid and has a flat portion to give it stability when left to dry in light and air after cleaning.
