Abstract

La présente invention concerne un ostéotome entraîné par un générateur d'ultrasons. Ainsi, l'expansion osseuse et le compactage cellulaire seront obtenus en douceur grâce à la vibration ultrasonique et sans les habituels coups de maillet traumatisants pour le patient, particulièrement dans la région céphalique pour les implants dentaires.

Description

OSTEOTOME ULTRASONIQUE
Lorsqu'on souhaite placer un implant dans un os qui présente une épaisseur insuffisante par rapport à l'épaisseur de l'implant, on peut obtenir une expansion osseuse à l'aide d'un jeu d'ostéotomes de taille progressive. C'est par exemple le cas si on souhaite placer un implant dentaire dans un maxillaire supèrieur présentant une crête trop mince; outre l'expansion osseuse. on s'est rendu compte que 'ostéotomie réalise alors un compactage des cellules osseuses. Ce compactage favorise la coaptation et l'intégration osseuse de l'implant en augmentant la densité de l'os au contact de l'implant.
Mais, dans le cas des implants dentaires au maxillaire supérieur, intervention qui peut se réaliser sous anesthésie locale, le patient supporte malles coups de maillet nécessaires à la mise en place des ostéotomes. La présente invention propose donc de techniciser cette mise en place à l'aide par exemple du générateur d'ultrasons dont sont pourvus la plupart des cabinets dentaires; on obtiendrait ainsi un compactage osseux, trés souhaitable en implantologie du maxillaire supérieur, et éventuellement une expansion de crête, sans l'aide des coups de maillet.
Les inserts ultrasoniques utilisés auront par exemple la forme classique cylindrique ou cylîndrocônique à extrémité arrondie des ostéotomes utilisés en implantologie dentaire et pourvus de rainures témoins d'enfoncement (1, fig. 1). Ces inserts pourront etre équipés d'un système de liaison (2, fig.i) à l'extrémité libre d'un conducteur ou d'un générateur d'ultrasons. Ils pourront être percés d'un ou deux trous (fig.2) permettant l'irriguation (3,fig.2) et l'évacuation (4,fa1.2) d'un liquide de refroidissement par exemple.

REVENDICATIONS
1. Ostéotome caractérisé en ce qu'il est relié comme insert à un générateur ultrasonique
2. Ostéotome ultrasonique selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il peut être de forme cylindrique ou cylindro-cônique et extrémité arrondie
3. Ostéotome ultrasonique selon les revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un trou permettant l'inwiguation
4. Ostéotome ultrasonique selon les revendications 1, 2 et 3, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un deuxième trou pour l'évacuation
