Abstract

The device uses a closed circuit in pressure and vacuum, acting continuously in a recycling unit containing a permanently rotating sieve, a layer of air under pressure and enclosed in a flask (1). Waste is pulled through the sieve under vacuum and solid is cleared from the sieve by air under pressure on the other side. The flask contains a V-shaped support (2) with two sealed joints allowing the pressure in the body to be maintained. A seal kit is fixed by two rings to maintain the pressure in the body. To purify the waste, the device contains a 300 micron rotating sieve, a larger sieve and a perforated flat round support fixed to a drive shaft, allowing the sieve to turn constantly and the waste to pass through the sieve to be recycled, due to the vacuum made by a vacuum pump. A layer of air under pressure blowing on the opposite side of the sieve eliminates the solids continuously.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for removing solid matter from the mud used in drilling.

The removal of solids from the mud is traditionally carried out by the combination of vibrating screens and hydrocyclones operating discontinuously with a heavy and bulky side.

The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks because it operates in a closed circuit with space-saving equipment, therefore easily manageable in terms of transport, installation and operation.

According to the technical design of this invention, the pressure in the casing at the inlet of untreated sludge (4) and in the evacuation farter with clean mud depression (io) is maintained by seals (5 / 7/2).

The operating principle consists in feeding the untreated sludge inlet casing (4) by a pump or by gravity.

Thanks to the vacuum created by a vacuum pump (preferably ano-liquid) connected to the outlet of the casing (lu), the clean mud is sucked continuously by its passage through a round sieve in rotation of about 300 microns ( 15) itself driven by a variable speed reduction motor (12).

Side opposite to the rotating round screen (15), the compressed air is projected with an air knife (11) blowing through the screen (15) by removing the film of solids deposited on the screen (15) side d arrival of the mud.

The solid materials are conveyed by a casing (D) directly into a container.

This new system technically forces all of the mud to pass through the screen (15), therefore, the quality of the mud is regular and can be modified by replacing the screen.
